Elliot R Goodman M.D. Bariatric Center

Although Dr.Goodman is not the dr. who did my RNY , he is the dr. I am currently seeing . I met him in the emergency room at Beth Israel when I went in with horrible pain, which ended up being hernia. I have found him to be very kind, interesting and very professional. I would highly recommend him to everyone !

Dr. Goodman is one hell of a surgeon. From the day I met him three years ago, when he preformed my mother's RNY surgery, he immediatly came off as this calm, kind, soft spoken, all around guy, who knew his profession, of course.rnrnThe one thing I like most about Dr. Goodman is his follow up. Example - Day 6 post op, I was nauseas and didn't know what to do. The mausea had actually been going on for a few days. I emailed him (to his PDA) around 8pm thta Sunday night, and he responded by 9:15pm that same Sumday night, explaining that it was common and he would call a prescription into my pharmacy first thing Monday morning.rnrnI mean, talk about quick service! The hest part about it with is is that he's that way with everything. I am sure his wife is a beautiful person but I would truly hate to be her. With all of the time he makes free for his patients, I have no idea how he's able to have any for her.rnrnAgain, Dr. Goodman is an excellent surgeon and will truly make you comfortable through out the entire process.rnrn

Well yesterday my sister Tiesha & myself finally met Dr. Goodman. He was very nice like everyone said he would be ( he looks nothing like his picture).Although he a very busy person he took his time with all his patients. I personally think I asked TOO MANY questions *lol* , but he answered everyone of them. The staff is the best especially Rhonda the are very accomodating. Upon your vistit you'll get an nutrionist evauluation, but you'll have to make an appointment for the psychological evaluation.rnHe gave us the number to someone else he knew so we wouldn't have to wait long and we have an appointment to see them next week.rnGo see Dr. Goodman! My first impression of Dr. Goodman was that he was a very caring person. He explained the procedure to me and left me feeling relaxed!!rnrnrnDr. Steven Wallach is a wonderful plastic surgeon-he has done my lower body lift also he is doing my upper lift---he has a wonderful staff also and a great sence of humor!!!!!!!

well after already being at another Doctor and her telling me the ins and outs of the surgery , i didnt have to many Questions for Dr Elliot Goodman but i can say he added alot of things to our conversation, and made me feel confident right off the bat with him He is jewish and my husband says he is one of gods ppl so I have the upmost confidence in him. rnOffice is great.. clean..and the seats are tailored to BIG ppl aswell thank god Those side arm rest really hurt my thighs... lots of wls material to read and take home rnthey have meetings on thursdays in the conference rooms at 5:30 pm.rni guess ill have more on the bedside manner when im in the hospital for 3 days ...

My first impression of Dr. Goodman was wow he's a really sweet and caring man. And how I was right. He led me down my pre-op journey with most ease. He and his staff assisted me with my insurance company when I was denied. With their help and dedication I was approved within 3 weeks. His pre-op and post-op structured aftercare programs were awesome. Before I found Dr. Goodman I was all set for surgery with another surgeon and Hospital, and at the last minute I changed my mind. It just didn't feel right. When I walked into Dr. Goodman'srnoffice it just felt right. He visited me every day in the hospital, and after seven years I can still call his office and he knows exactly who I am. Wow, what a great feeling. I would recommend Dr. Goodman to any patient who is considering wls. You will be well informed, and if you truly listen to what he has to say and impliment it into your daily routine this surgery tool really works.

I WAS ORIGINALLY GOING TO USE DR. ROSSER AT BETH ISRAEL BUT HE IS TAKING A LEAVE OF ABSENCE. SO I AM NOW HAVE DR. GOODMAN DO MY PROCEEDURE. HE WAS VERY NICE WHEN I MET HIM, AND DOWN TO EARTH. I AM VERY EXCITED.

'When I first met Dr. Goodman I was absolutely not prepared for the emotion of the day. Getting on the scale was terrible and actually speaking to him about my Obesity complications was extremely difficult. However

I am so grateful to Dr. Goodman. He is an incredible surgeon and makes you feel very comfortable. I have had my surgery done on Oct 11, 2005 and have already lost 42 pounds. It may take a while to reach dr. Goodman but it is so worth it

Well I will be truthful I had high high hopes for Dr. G because I read so much about him and all of it was good and he definatley made me feel confortable with him he was down to earth but still professional and we even laughed together. His office is great BIG chairs I had 2 nephews with me and a niece and they played around and the staff made them feel welcome. be patient he is worth the wait. He didnt really elaberate on what to expect being that he knows my sister not only works for his hospital but because she had the surgery and knows I was there for everything but he said e-mail him anytime or any day and he will always answer I thought that was great. He explained the risk even the side effects (he even spoke of more then just death) Dr G you get 4 thumbs up (I am using my toes) :) It seems as if I must ay something negative about him well I met with him once but we've had many many conversations and he even e-mailed me and I wasnt his patient yet now how cool is that???
