Dr. Marvin changed my life. Both he and his staff were top notch during the entire process. He was very understanding and encouraging. Because of him, I've been able to lose 115 pounds and keep it off for two years. People around me have asked how and I've encouraged several folks to have the sleeve procedure as well. I believe that Dr. Marvin is the key. None of them have been as successful as I have been fortunate to be. I believe that he is an excellent surgeon and performs this procedure exactly right. I have had no complications with this and I am so much more healthy. Thanks to Dr. Marvin and his staff for improving my life so much.

Dr Marvin was very informative on my intitial consultation. He explained the different iptions available to me and suggeted which one was best in my case. He was very supportive and understanding to my situation. His office staff was very friendly and efficient. All my followups were scheduled promptly and without me having to do any calls myself.

Dr. Marvin's staff at the time were very friendly and helpful. I've been very unhappy with the care I've received (better yet...haven't received) with the first real problem I've had since surgery. Recently I had to have an Endoscopy into my stomach because of burning. Dr. Marvin did the procedure and then left without talking to me or to my husband to explain what he had done, or what he had found. We called the office only to be told to call back the next week for results of the biopsy he'd taken. FOUR weeks later I was finally told by a staff member that there hadn't been a biopsy taken, and I hadn't been checked out for H Pylori even though I have a history of it. By then my frustration led me to another doctor. After a few days I was told it was H Pylori and I was immediately put on an Anti-biotic.

My initial surgery went well. I followed all instructions and was very pleased with the results. After one visit with Dr. Marvin all other visits were with his PA.

I'm now looking for another Bariatric Surgeon to help with any follow-up appointments.

Please understand this was my experience.

Dr. Marvin is a gentle,exceptional surgeon.I only saw him twice, once for pre-surgery and again on the day of surgery,I saw his PA the morning after surgery and on each post op visit so far. I respect Dr. Marvin, he does the surgery and someone else handles the aftercare,he addressed all the risk of the surgery, and overall on a scale of 1-10 he is a 10+ he has a aftercare program included in his fee,it is stressed you must continue the aftercare.I rate his skills as exceptional.The office help were friendly but busy ladies.

My first impression of Dr. Marvin was the obvious young and handsome. From my very first visit i felt that he and the office staff were wonderful in answering everyone's questions and concerns, which put me at ease and allowed me to make my decision to have the gastric bypass on that same day. I would recommend him to anyone considering any time of weight loss surgery to contact him as I was referred by a friend myself. The only negative thing I can say ....is went I went for my 1yr follow-up I was informed Dr. Marvin was no longer at the same location.

Dr Marvin is great and explained everything very well. We went over the different surgeries to replace the lap band, and we decided that the realize band would be in my best interest. He is going to try and use my old scars when he goes in, and is alos going to straighten the scar that looks like a zipper.rnHis staff is really good also. The insurance lady was not so great at calling back and just keeping me informed. I am persistant though.rnDr Marvin is going to remove my lapband(placed by Dr Spivak 4/16/2003) that is slipped and replace it with a realize band on Thursday 3/26/2009.rnI will update with my surgery experience soon.

When I went to meet Dr. Marvin he was great.. He answered my millions of question that I wanted answers for,, His office staff is wonderful..You couldnt ask for anything more...

I meet my surgeon for the first time when I had to have an Endoscopey done. He was an absolute dream. He and his staff are great. I have a great belief that he was the doctor I should have choosen the fisrt time. He gave me all of the risk that are involed with having this surgery and the risks involed for me. I have had numerous other surgeries in the past and he just laid it on the line for me. I can not wait to get my surgery done on the nov. 18, 08.

Dr. Robert Marvin is wonderful. He is a very nice and exceptional sweet person. The office staff is so incredible, they are helpful, knowledgeable, compassionate, friendly and the totally \"ROCK\"! Dr. Marvin, throughly explained the procedure from the beginnning to the end, he answered questions, that I had written down to ask him after we finished the consultation. He takes his time and explains the entire process to you, he really pays attention to your body language because he ask if you understand totally and if there is any area that you may need him to talk extensively on, he will do just that. He stresses throughout the conversation and in his seminars how important it is to change your old eating habits and to chew, chew, chew, chew your food. He also tells you the facts, that you have to do your part in order for this to work, he doesn't hind or sugar-coat the process and the outcome of any of the procedures he does for weightloss. He is very, very through, he explained that there are risks to any surgery; he gives you his stats and tons of information. On the day of the surgery, he re-explained everything that was going to take place the day of surgery, what to expect when you go home, the week after surgery and leading up to when you see him for your 1 week follow-up office visit. On a scale of 1 to 10, Dr. Marvin is an 11. His surgical competence and beside manner are both great.

doctor marvin was great!!!! he changed my life and i thank him he was the second doctor i went to the first told me to lose 50 lbs or he wouldnt do it but when i went to doctor marvin he told me he could do the bypass and it wouldnt be hard at all and not a big risk and so it was done a few weeks later i had my surgery and no issues at all and its been almost 2 years on the 27th of dec.
