My first impression of this man was that he was so NICE, kind and seemed to care about weight loss being a problem. He made me feel comfortable at all times that we met and his office staff are really nice too. He came to see everyday while in hospital, 5 days, went over the post op diet etc, prescribed the pain med and told me to call anytime . Made my appt. for the 18th which woulld be 13 days post op. I would rate him overall on a scale of 1-10, I would give him 10+. Thank you Dr. Bookwalter, YOU ARE THE BEST.rn

rnDr. Bookwalter . Dr Bookwalter is very impressed with my weight loss....the last time I saw him, he told me not to lose any more weight but Ive lost 22 lbs since then.

I really liked him and he made me feel like I had still achieved some of my loss. He and his office staff are very kind and very helpful. There was not anything I did not like about him. he is very thorough. He does not emphasize on after care with me much cause I had the operation 7 years ago by another doctor. He addresses the risk of surgury however like I said I already know. Overall I would rate him as someone who cares and wants to help as many people as he canrnrnAfter meeting Dr Bookwalter the first time I learned he did not care and he is not helpful as I think he should be. He has allowed me to hurt for a long time. I have diarrhea, vomit everyday and he does not care. I have enlarged stoma and he does nothing to help..... Very poor care and his staff is as rude as anything. He also is not good about getting back to people.

Dr Bookwalter and his staff treat you like family. He is such a kind and gentle man...always making time for questions and concerns. His office staff really seem to be concerned and excited about the results.
I have no negative thoughts about him or his staff and reccomend him every chance I get.

My first impression of Dr. Bookwalter was that he was a very caring man. The staff at Dr. Bookwalter's is wonderful. The entire process from start to finish was two months.

Dr. Bookwalter explained everything in layman terms so that I would understand. My surgery was August 25, 2004 and went off without a hitch.

The care I received at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital in Vermont was excellent.

I rate Dr. Bookwalter a 10 plus :) the same goes for the care I received in the hospital.

Dr. Bookwalter is very cool. He is older and that makes me feel more confident in him. He is very laid back and honest about his history with this type of surgery. He has had only two major complications and neither of them resulted in death. He did not provide a lot of info about the procedure or the post op but that may be because he has my charts from Dr. Spaulding and know that I was already well informed. So if I was a new patient going to him I would ask a lot of questions. I give him a 10 for instilling confidence in me.
