Dr. Pitchford and his staff are all great people. They are friendly and answer all questions ,work well scheduling appointments,he makes sure you are aware of all aspects of both surgery and post-op care.He was very thorough explaining everything and reassuring. He's just too dang skinny.lol

Dr. P is a wonderful and caring doctor. He didnt make me feel "fat".He was one of the 1st Dr's that make me feel like a person. His nurse was very nice too.He is very strong on what he wants you to know before, during and after.I really didnt have questions as he went over all his stuff so much.I havent had my surgery yet becasue I have one more meeting with the "mind Dr" and will then try and wait for my call from Dr.P.I want to say Thanks to This Wonderful Dr as he has giving me a light at the end of the tunnel where my whole life is waiting!!!!THANKS

from my first impression of Dr. Pitchford...he seems a quiet, gentle sort of a man. I think he is dedicated to his work as a general surgeon. Which is good for me, as I told him of my fears about this surgery. I give him an A!!!

Dr. Pitchford, along with his nurse, Sue, have made me feel very comfortable since my first meeting in November, 2002. They worked with me to try to get my surgery scheduled in a time frame that would work for my upcoming business and travel plans. I was very pleased with the calm, pleasant, unrushed office visits I have had. Never once have I felt hurried or like I was asking dumb questions. My occasional phone calls to the office post-op have been handled quickly and efficiently, and they have both reassured me that things will progress just fine.

Dr. Pitchford is very soft spoken but is very easy to speak too. His office staff is very accomodating, and his nurse is top notch. They are fairly new with the lap band procedure and are learning as they go along. Hopefully a support group will be started soon, he encourages regular visits to the nutritionalist. I was very comfortable with the entire staff. They are very supportive and really want their patients to succeed.

He seemed very nice and knowledgable. He also seemed very pleased with how much I already knew about the surgery. The consultation didn't even last that long. He looked at my stats, and thought I would be a great candidate for the surgery. I also felt very comfordable with his nurse, Sue, she as well as the rest of the staff looked at me as though I was a smart, young girl making the right decision. The only main requirement Dr. Pitchford had for me (since I was already seeing a psychiatrist) was to meet with a nutritionist to go over the various diet plans for post-op. He made me aware of all the risks (which I already knew about) but he seemed very laid back and not worried that there would be any problems or complications with me.
