As of today, November 11, 2014,I have lost 257 pounds, I think that I am where my body wants to be because, I have hit a plateau and I'm fluctuating back and forth with these 5 little pounds, So, what the heck, I'm happy, I'm proud but, most of all, I am "HEALTHY"...I am officially off of my Blood Pressure medicine, and no more diabetes meds. My BMI was 72 back in 2010, but now it in the low 30's...In Nov. 2012, I underwent THREE hip surgeries, 1 total replacement, got an infection so had to undergo the second one, then 2 days later went in to replace 2 parts of the new hip. I had to stay in rehab. for 6 weeks. Learned how to walk all over again because I had been in a wheel chair for over 15 years. Today, I Thank God and for
Dr. Margaret Inman for giving me a second chance to get it right and Live my life to the fullest. Dr. Inman is my "SHERO"
I shall forever be grateful to her for the rest of my natural life...Muah and hugs to you Dr. Inman.

Just wanted to update my profile...As of September 21,2012, I have now lost 230 pounds. I'm wanting to lose about 35 more if that's possible, it's going very slow now, but, oh well, I feel like a new woman. Thank you God and thank you Dr. Margaret Inman at St. Vincent Hospital in Carmel, IN. you are the greatest and you and My precious Mother who is now in heaven rejoicing with me are "My Sheros" for ever. Thank you both for giving me a reason to LIVE.

Today is May 6,2011, Just wanted to let Dr. Inman know that she is my "Shero", Dr. Inman has given me a new lease on life, I had my RNY on July 23,2010, everything came out just fine, this lady knows her stuff. Before I had my surgery I was bed ridden for 3 and a half years, and was watching my life just pass me by, I finally had to come to grips with myself and said, "NO MORE",so I opted to Live and I did what I had to do. Today I have lost 122 plus pounds and I feel so much better, I'm not done yet, but, I will get there with the help of The Good Lord. Those of you who are thinking of wanting to Live, I say, "Go for it." My Precious Mother died 3 months after my surgery and I know that I probably would have ate myself to Death through sorrow, but, Mother wanted Life for me, and so Mother I'm trying to do just that. Thank you for traveling with me to every appointment and for being and staying with me in the Hospital. I Love and Miss you so much more than words could ever describe.

I chose Dr. Inman, because of her expertise ability, her confidence, her track record is excellent and I have ALL confidence in God and her excellent team that All Good will PreVail. So Looking forward to "New Quality of Life" Ahead. Office Staff is very warm, knowledgable and caring. Aftercare is extremely important to her. She is very up front and informative about All Risk of Surgery and The Benefits of New Life as well.

Dr. Inman and her staff were always pleasant, caring, professional, and educational. I cannot remember one instance of being dissatisfied when seeing her or calling her office!

I had the DS in May of 2009. I am her only patient that she has performed an open DS on.

If you want the DS, see Dr. Inman.
If you want a knowledgeable surgeon, see Dr. Inman.

What she lacks is bedside manner, but her knowledge FAR out weighs her lack of bedside manner. She often talks with her eyes closed, either accept it or find a different surgeon.

Dr. Christopher Evanson is so personable. I felt from my initial consultation my impression of Dr. E that very confident of his work but seemed to have marginal tolerance for those who are negative toward their treatment. Although, I felt he was correct, some of those in the initial consultation were actually distracting for those of us who really wanted to be there.
He has been very positive and extremely encouraging toward my "recovery" in life. He notices things, like when I got my first pair of cool jeans.
I really like his office staff. The girls at the desk are friendly, one even makes comments about my before pic because I showed my excitement to be getting the surgery.
He spent lots of time with my husband and friends before I was taken into surgery and made all feel comfortable.
He helped after the first month to adjust my diet according to my needs and that I was intelligent enough to be able to do so.
I love all the support programs that St V has to offer.
I feel that surgical competence and bedside manner are equally important. I WANT to do well and please my doctor because he has shown so much interest in me and my well being.
Since I am asked to report the negative as well, he thing I liked least was his newest hairstyle! LOL
THANK YOU DR E!!!

It has been my experience that during my process of trying to get things in order to proceed to have and be approved for the surgery it has been an uphill battle in dealing with the office staff. Apparently they have no record of me.

I have seen the psychiatrist, been to meetings and filled out the necessary paperwork and set through the seminar but they have no record of me.

The communication between Dr. Evanston's staff (one in particular) and the patient has broken completely down. At this point I have no idea where I stand. Dr. Evanston is a great surgeon that is why I chose him. Dr. Evanston this has nothing to do with you at all. Your a great man and surgeon please understand that. It is a person in your staff that has not contacted me after leaving several messages. Being very rude on the phone and thinking I should know everything on where I stand. I am ready for surgery and I am ready to be a suggests story for everyone I love.

I really did like her as a doctor. I heard so many say she had a poor bedside manner. BUT she treated me very kind. I always make light of a situation when I am nervous. She had said in pre-op that DS has a 97% success rate. 2% has major complication and 1% death. I asked her on Wednesday how many she has done. She said 92 DS's. I said, Can I get a piece of paper. I want her to sign a contract that she will make sure I stay in her 97% and not the 3% that gets screwed up or dies. She cracked up laughing. A nurse came in and said, "That is the first time I have ever seen her laugh, WOW".
