Update! I have now had my surgery and it has been one of the best experiences of my life. Dr. Broussard has given me a new beginning in my life and I have him and his staff to thank. I highly recommend his pratice and Summit Medical Center. I could go on but i would like my success speak for itself. I can't thank them enough.

Dr. Broussard first impression was professional and caring at the same time about my condition. His office staff is very attentative and friendly. I have not had a surgery yet, but he is working with me to get some of the weight off without surgery and i have been very successful so far. i have lost about 23lbs! He has been very informative and given me knowledge about weight loss that no other doctor has taken the time to give me before. From my experience so far Dr. Broussard is the best!

I just attended the free bariatric surgery seminar today which Toby Broussard conducted. The first 30 minutes was a very informative testimonial by a patient of Dr Broussard’s who underwent the bypass surgery about 2-1/2 years ago. The seminar answered my questions and addressed my concerns. I decided to make an appointment to discuss my options and take the next step. I found the seminar a great experience and look forward to the journey ahead.

I went to a seminar in Jan. 2011 @ Weight Wise, Dr.Toby Broussard was the speaker. He was very, very informative about all of the wls. You could tell that he is a very caring doctor. And that he is very compassionate about what he does. Ok that being said. I made an appointment for my initial consultation. I went for my consultation and got the list of required things that the doctor wants me to do before I had surgery. And let me tell you he is very thorugh, I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. One of the requirements was, I had to loose 13lbs. This I thought would be a breeze. Boy was I wrong. It was tough because I didn't really try that hard till I went for my preop appt. with him. I meet with him and he ask me how I was doing with my weight loss, WELLLLL I had only lost 3 lbs :(. He told me that if I didn't loose every pound that he required he would have to postpone my surgery :o. And he said "I souldn't even be doing your preop right now & normaly I wouldn't". So here I am 10days from surgery with 10lbs to loose. I then told he I would work really hard at it. Well to my suprise I was 17lbs down on the day of surgery.......woooohoooo!!! My surgery went great. One thing that I can tell you is while I was going thru all the preop stuff I meet Dr. B's better half :). His awesome and amazing wife Sharon. She has been amazing. She's also a RN so she gave me her cell phone # that way if I has questions I could contact her. This lady was a God sent to me. Most of the time if I needed anything I would text her with questions. Her responce was mind blowing fast. I just love love love this lady. Today is 3-20-11 and I am 9 days postop and I am down a total of 25lbs (17 preop & 8 postop) and I'm loving my sleeve. Thank you Dr. Broussard, Sharon, and All of the staff at Weight Wise. Your the BEST!!!! Lori :)

Just started the process of WLS. I attended the free seminar held by Dr. Broussard. It answered most of my questions and cleared up a lot of misinformation that I found online. Waiting for my appointment!

I had a lap-band in 2008 and an emergent lap-band revision in 2010 after an extremely bad weekend of food poisoning with an already slipped band.

After years of struggling with excessive vomiting and dehydration that I've even needed IV fluids, I've decided to have my band removed and transition to the sleeve.

I love the program at WeightWise.

For my prior surgery, my only requirement was to see a dietitian once for my operative diet. No psych or exercise consultation. And all of my post-op visits were merely finding my correct fill level (which was never more than about 2cc otherwise even MORE vomiting).

At weight wise, they measure my labs to ensure I am getting the proper nutrients; offer a multitude of support outlets from group meetings every week to blogs to even recipes; and you are followed for 2 whole years with all of the same resources. Not only that, but as barbaric patients, we need a little accountability to say on track and you will always have that.

This isn't just having surgery with a little bit of guidance and then sent off to flounder or thrive. This is a complete program built for success.
