So far, I think he is great. Very easy to talk to. He answers all of your questions and his staff is very helpful and understanding of any and all questions.
Dr. Babineau is the best. I had Rnx-y on 9/4/2008. I had absolutely no problems or complications. Freida, one of his nurses is the best,Cathi Wade-NP is awesome, Lisa Losack his OR nurse is great. Teresa, and the rest of the office managers are so friendly. He has great bedside manners and a great personality. It takes someone very special and dedicated to their work to want to help morbidly obese people. He is my angel.

Hello! It is March 09 i am six months out and i have lost 100lbs. I work out at the gym and i eat healthy. Yea!!!
Hello It's Yvette M. again. I am 8 months post op and i have lost a total of 120 lbs! I work out at the Gym and I eat healthy and i have lots of energy. Dr Babineau and Jesus are my Guardian angel.
Hello everyone i have been very busy. I am i year post-op Had rny on sept 4 2008, and i have lost 145 lbs !!!
Dr. Babineau and his staff are absolutely wonderful. He is very thorough in his seminars. Judging from how I have felt following surgery, he is a truly gifted surgeon. I feel I was well prepared and have had no problems following the surgery.
I went to his seminar. He was shy but was very informative. He talked about both the lapband and the gastric bypass with the risk and complications that could occur. His office staff was very friendly and helpful. I just had my lapband surgery on 11/6/08 so I really can't tell you anything that I like the least about him. His staff handed out a folder with everything that a person needed to know about the beginning of the process, including insurance, everything regarding surgery and even aftercare. Yes he has an aftercare program but I have not taken advantage of it at this time. his surgical competence is awesome. I work for 3 psychiatrists and they all talk about him and that he is the best bariatric surgeon around. I feel that if he was not quite as shy that his bedside manner would be awesome as well.

I switched from another doctor after hearing - and seeing - such great things about Dr. Babineau from his patients. He is a quiet man, but very calm and knowledgable. And he does have a funny little sense of humor that I like. When I was waiting to go into surgery, he stopped in to say hi and see if I had any more questions. I was already feeling a little silly from the shot they gave me, so I asked him what time he went to bed the night before. He just grinned and then calmly answered what time and that he was feeling very rested and good. I liked that he went along with the joke rather than be stuffy. rnHis staff is excellent. I felt so well cared for in the hospital. I had to stay an extra day because my blood pressure spiked a little. Dr. Babineau and other members of his staff came by each day to check on me and before releasing me. In the nearly three months since my surgery, I have never had any difficulty getting my questions answered (and I had a LOT at the beginning) and never felt I was bothering them or wasting their time. I just highly recommend him.
Dr. Babineau is the best. He was so nice and really wants the best for everyone. He is willing to answer all your questions with no hesitation. I think he did a great job!
I cannot say enough good things about Dr. B. and his staff. They answered all my questions both pre and post op and made me feel like a person not just a patient. His support staff is the one that does the post op care so he can concentrate on the people having the surgery. He is wonderful. If I had to do this (RNY) over again I would definetly chose him. I would recommend him 500%. Again he and his staff is wonderful.
