Dr. Chua is so knowledgable! He has been doing these surgeries since 1975 and is the most experienced in the state of Wisconsin. Very nice, friendly, I felt very comfortable with him.

I had my first consult yesterday and was both nervous and exicted to be there. We went over the different surgery that is available and I would be very comfortable having Dr Chua operate on me. Now I just have to wait and see what the insurance company has to say!

Dr. Chua is a wonderful caring man!!!! I had my surgery 6-12-01 and was in the hospital almost a month, i had some complications, he couldnt have been a better Dr., He cares about his patients more then alot of other Dr. i have ever met!!!!!! I have not one single bad thing to say!My experience with Dr. Chua was wonderful.

When I first met Dr.Cuha, I thought he was very nice and very informative. He talked about the different surgeries and we both decided what surgery would be best for me.

His office staff are also very nice, I have called them a few times with questions I have had and they were very kind.

When I went to the hospital to have the tests done, I was told that Dr. Chua was a very good doctor and a kind doctor. That made me feel really good.

I am very glad that I have Dr. Chua.

Dr Starling comes across a little abrupt when you first see him. He is an excellent Surgeon and I would highly recommend him. You don't really see him that often, he popped in almost every day while I was in the hospital. He was very pleased with my 1st post op appointment I had lost 24#'s in 15 days:) His staff is excellent, very caring and easy to talk to. The only thing I'm disappointed in is there is no support group. I did mention to his NP that I wish they had a support group. She sounded like they where looking into it, I can only hope.

I had my 3 month check up with Dr Starling. I have talked to him on a couple of occasions, he is NOT WHAT HE SEEMS LIKE DURING THE CONSULT. Dr Starling is a very supportive and caring Dr. He joked around and took quite a long time talking to me today. I was told today that I will have only one more appointment before I'm discharged from his care, and that will be for my 1 year check up. I found out that he leaves all the testing for your PCP to do.

I was very impressed with the fact that Dr. Chua recommends the type of wls for each patient depending on his/her own lifestyle and needs. The other surgeons I'd seen did the exact same surgery for every patient.

At my initial consult, Dr. Chua was very easy to talk to. He uses a terrific handout that details all the surgery options and what to expect.

He doesn't have a structured aftercare program but he does offer an support group attended by health professionals.

My consultation with Dr. Chua was very informative. I could tell he is a very caring man, and is interested in helping me! He has spent 1/2 of his life (30 years) doing WLS surgery, and does many types. I was a little concerned that he didn't have a scale that went over 350 lbs., but maybe they hang weights....I'll be under 350 quickly after the surgery anyway!!

Dr Chua spent lots of time identifying my eating habits, and I felt confident he was matching the best surgical solution to my habits. He doesn't take a one solution fits all approach and I think that speaks volumes!

Tammy Lynn, his office assistant is also fantastic.

I met with Dr. Chua this past Thursday and was very impressed. He has been doing these types of surgeries since the 70's. He was very informative and I feel really comfortable with him. My sister went with me to the appointment (my husband had to work) and she was equally impressed with his credentials, knowledge and bedside manner.
He talked about the risks, talked about aftercare, and how one needs to be monitored for low iron, B-12 etc. His office staff is great too, Tammy already sent for insurance approval the next day. Now we wait for their approval. I would truly recommend Dr. Chua with the experience that I have had so far. Will keep you updated with future dealings with him and his staff.

I was very impressed with Dr. Chua. He was friendly, and really took the time to explain things throughly. I did get the impression that he doesn't offer a lot of information unless you ask, so come prepared with all of your questions. Overall I feel very comfortable with him. Heck, even my boyfriend liked him and he hates doctors!!
