I do NOT recommend Dr. Siegel from Lake County Surgeons in Gurnee, Illinois. He made me feel rushed, NEVER listens, and when you feel that something isn't right he blows it off as no big deal.
Thanks to his ignorance and refusal to listen to his patient's concerns I lost two jobs and ended up in the hsopital for 5 days due to severe malnutrition and had to be fed through my PICC Line with TPN because my complications got so severe I couldn't eat. I was fainting and having seizures and yet he did NOTHING until it was nearly too late!
Considering a Malpractice Lawsuit.
Do yourself a favor and run, not walk, away from this failure of a surgeon!

DR.Seigal is awesome. My first contact with him was by phone. He actually talked to me for about 20 minutes before I even went in.Which we all know is a very rare thing now adays. Then he spent a very long time with us explaining the different WLS but he only does band and gasttric bypass. His office staff is fantastic. We were lost and arrived 30 minutes late and we were still received with open arms.Everone there is more than willing to try and help you with anything you need.My next visit is in 30 days when I go back after completely my visits with dieticain etc.
My first impression of him was that he was very informative and knowlegeable. Some of the staff there is sometimes testy-maybe just stressed? He addresses the pros/cons of surgery but did not talk much about aftercare. I don't know if he should have been more proactive with more information or if it should have been me. Now that I know more there are more things that I would have liked to find out, I probably should call him.
I did end up calling him with questions and he answered them and he was super nice about it. He took time and really made me feel comfortable.
Dr. Seigal is very nice and was patient. He listened to me when I spoke, answered my questions and was very informative about the procedure.rnrnHis staff was very friendly and helpful they bent over backwards to help with a problem I had with my insurance referal and it was taken care of the same day.rnrnHe makes sure you understand the dangers, and what you HAVE to do for after care.rnrnHe does have a very structured after care program.rnrnAs of now I have to give him a 10!
