Alex Macgregor Bariatric Surgeon M.D.,F.A.C.S.
He is a fabulous surgeon who has retired since my surgery in 1995. The care I received by Dr. Macgregor and his staff was the kindest, most considerate I had ever received in my life. The only complaint I ever had about his office was in the waiting room where there were chairs with arms, which I felt was particularly inconsiderate. Dr. Macgregor and his staff are staunch supporters of aftercare and support group attendance. I did not heed their advice regarding support group attendance (I moved away shortly after my surgery) and I now regret it. They were highly informative about the risks of surgery and while I was an excellent candidate for the surgery, I was encouraged to take some time to think about my decision before finalizing it. Dr. Macgregor and his staff exhibited an excellent bedside manner as well as surgical competence and my experience, overall, was positive. I have no regrets regarding the surgery, and have maintained my weight loss for 5 years.
