Dr Martin is a wonderful caring professional man , I trust him implicitly, one of the best surgeons in his field , I recommend Dr Martin if you are considering surgery he will put you at ease , answer all your questions and explain everything so you understand.
He has a great personality and wonderful sense of humour. I was absolutely thrilled with my outcome . The reception girls are lovely and so helpful. Mary RN is a gem .

Dr Martin was very clear. He spent a great deal of time with me explaining the surgery and the risk. He answered all my questions and never made me feel rushed.
He did emphasize aftercare and made sure I understood that Insurance would not cover the appointments after a certain point.

Dr. Martin spoke at the symposium that I attended for Weight Loss Surgery (WLS). I had met with 3 other surgeons prior to this and I felt that I needed to continue the search for someone I was comfortable with. I never spoke with him at the symposium, but his knowledge of the surgery impressed me. I set up for a consult with him a couple of weeks later...I dragged my twin sister along with me to the consult so that she could help me decide. I was so nervous about the idea of the surgery, but after the first ten minutes he quelled my fears. He discussed the pros and the cons and did not try to persuade me...the decision was mine. I did not feel as if I was a file folder in a desk but I was his patient. He came to see me before I went into the operating room, he reassured my family and I that everything would go well...and it did.
The aftercare is great, not only can you attend support groups, you can also attend the symposiums and meet up with other (WLS) patients. His office staff are very efficient and sensitive to your needs. I give him a 10+. His bedside manner and competence far exceed any other Doctor that I have worked with. It is very important that you are 100% honest with your Surgeon about your medical history so they can better treat you. Overall he is an outstanding Doctor with a lot to offer WLS patients. I would highly recomend him to anyone considering WLS.

Dr. David Martin is one of the best there is. I know that we all say that about our doctor's but for me it is true. He is an extremely professional man who explained everything to my husband and myself at my first appointment. The office staff seems very busy but kind. Not standoffish. Dr Martin makes sure that you have all of your protein, vitamins and such prior to having the surgery. Overall I would rate him 10 on professionalism, attitude and kindenss. He is the best!

Better late then never! Dr. Martin is wonderful! He is a very caring person, thoughtful to your needs and very responsive to your questions. He popped in to see me while I was waiting in the pre-op room before surgery. Asked me how I was doing and if I was ready to do this? I ofcourse said oh yes! My husband, Bill and I also asked about his new baby daughter and if he has pictures? He right then and there took out his cell phone and showed us his beautiful baby girl.He reassured me everything was going to go just fine and that he would see me after the surgery.Just like promised Dr. Martin came in to see me after the surgery and when I was somewhat awake, ask how I was doing and said he would see me the next morning.

My dr. was wonderful. I first met him at the seminar the surgical group put on. He was good all the way through, explained things to me, answered questions, was helpful with questions from my husband and daughter and put us all at ease. Office staff was wonderful and very supportive. There was nothing I didn't like about him. His aftercare program is good, all that I need. He has an aftercare program with a support group for those who want it. I would rate him overall as wonderful. Surgical competence and bedside manner are both great.

Dr. Martin was an excellant Dr., he answered all my questions and concerns without any doubt or feeling rushed. His office staff could use a little work, there where some of the ladies there with some attitude. Yes, he really explains how important it is to follow the after care program. Yes, he address all the important risk factors. I would rate him a 10 plus!!
