My surgery was Dec 7, 2011, and everything went well! I had very pleasant nurses and my bariatric coordinator come by everyday, and even help with putting my meals in the little ounce cups. My doctor did stop by to see how I was doing, He did 2 surgeries that morning. I don't have nothing negative to say, my doc could've stopped by more than once, but nevertheless, his staff take great care of me, and the atmosphere stayed pleasant .I do have a 10 day appt with him again ,and hope everything goes well.

When i first picked DR.David Spencer i was really pleased when i sat down with him.he makes you feel so good about you and you can ask him any thing and wont cut you off in the middle of your question. His office staff is so nice they dont look at you with the $ sign.If you have any questions after you leave he tells you please call me back if you get home and think of anything else.I was so happy i wanted to get all my appointments done before the four weeks.they have all your appointments set up for you so you dont have to miss work.I just love his office

I liked Dr. Spencer right off. Very straightforward and made you feel you were his only patient. The office staff was good. His staff answered all my questions and I knew what to do at EVERY stage of my weight loss journey. His bed side manner is wonderful! I love ya Dr. Spencer!!!!

Awesome! The entire setup from office setup to office staff to Dr. Spencer's demeanor is geared to make a "larger" person feel comfortable.

My first impression of Dr. Spencer was not good at first. He is very straight forward and did not hold nothing back. He is the BEST doctor around. My impression of him has changed 100%. He is the greatest!!! I am glad that I found his group and choose him. He told you exactly the way is was and what to expect was going to happen. All aspects of the surgery were addressed in my appointments with him before surgery. This group has a great aftercare program, they are available 24 hours a day. rnI would rate Dr Spencer on a scale of 1-10, as a 10. He is the best! His bed side manner was not the best but he just told me like it is!! I repect him for that. He is very straight forward. He does not want to sugar coat anything and comes right out and tells you like it is. rnrnOverall, I would recommend him to anyone for this surgery.

Dr. Spencer with \"Bon Secours Medical Weight Loss Center\" was wonderful! He is very up front and honest about everything. With him, you MUST quit smoking in order for him to do the surgery. He will definately let you know about that....Let's just say, he is not one to bite his tongue.rnThe office staff were all super friendly and very compassionate! rnBon Secours Medical Weight Loss Center is a comprehensive program. There is the nutrition aspect, support group and aftercare visits. rnTo be honest, I can hardly say anything negative about the team. It may sound suspicious...I'm just truly grateful to them :)rn

What was your first impression of him/her? rnHe was informative and I never felt rushed. I felt he was there to answer any questions or concerns.rnrnHow would you describe his/her office staff? rnCAREING.......SINCERErnrnHow much does he/she emphasize aftercare? rnThey very much provide aftercare from support groups if you live in the area to a schedule of when to have blood work and fax it to them and recommendations.rnrnHow did he/she address the risks of surgery? rnHe lays it on the line. No punches , but also explains the danger of remaining heavy.rnrnHow would you rate him/her overall? rnOut of 10? I give him and his staff a 15. They made me feel as confortable as i could be so far away from home and facing surgery.rnrnWhich is better, surgical competence, bedside manner, or are both great? rn BOTH HE IS THE BEST
