Dr. Olsen did a fantastic job during my surgery. It is very strict and wants to see you succeed. He has been very detailed about everything that he has done. He has shown pictures of his work. I literally had a little bit of pain after the surgery and when I came home it just was annoying pain. He did very nice work also not using staples or stitches on the wounds. It was nice too for no drain bag. Dr Olsen thank you for the great work.

Dr. Olsen is a very no nonsense guy. He is tough because he wants you to succeed. He is very strict about support and aftercare. Many find his bedside manner to be cold. I feel totally opposite. He is concise and caring. He explains things thoroughly and checks to ensure that you understand everything. His staff is wonderful. They are there for you every step of the way. The ladies in the office are always kind. Everything you need is available to you. The dietician and nutritionist are wonderful. The exercise physiologist is knowledgeable and really helps you find activities that work for you at your fitness level. I know that with the help of Dr. Olsen and his staff, I will be able to achieve my weight loss goal and maintain it.

I had my surgery March 12, 2013. I have already lost 39 lbs. and I feel better then ever. Dr. Olsen is the greatest. He tells you like it is and he is there for support. I was having a little problem one night and called the answerning service and Dr. Olsen call me back with minitues. Then another time he had to send me to the ER, nothing major, but he just wanted to make sure I was ok. The next morning I had to call the office for a follow up and he came to the phone and talked to me. I still have a long way to go but I know that Dr. Olsen and his staff will be with me all the way through my weight loss.

I was at my highest weight of 328 and at 5 ft tall, with several hermias. I was bigger around than tall, I went to several seminars and finally ment Dr. Olsen. He and his team saved my life and the way I now eat. I have lost over 130 pounds and still losing. I talk to several people about my experience with the Doctors and the care that I received at the hospital, and even with home care. I would recommend the Baratric Center to any one at any time they care about you. And your future. Thank you to all at the center...

With the tool of WLS, gastric banding, I have lost over 150 pounds. My weight is 197 and basically holding. My lowest weight since surgery was 181. I have gone up a little but with the help of Dr. Olsen and his staff I intend on getting back to 185, my goal weight. Anyone 100 pounds or more over weight should consider Weight Loss Surgery. I will change your life for the better.

It is now 2016, I have gained about 60 lbs. I made the decision to go back to my Doctor and take what ever steps to correct my regain. I expected Dr. Olsen to be disappointed and maybe criticize me. To my relief he was compassionate and supportive. He made me feel like I was not a failure. I am grateful for his guidance and support.

Dr. Olsen was referred to me by one of his patients. When I saw the results that she is able to achieve I knew Dr. Olsen was the surgeon for me. My operation was January 26, 2010. Since the surgery I have lost approximately 90 pounds with no adverse side effects. Dr. Olsen's organization, nurses, councilors, and staff cannot be beat. With their help and support I am sure I will reach my set goal. Dr. Olsen has surgical competence unequaled in Nashville. He is very serious about helping Obese people, and I like that. He can be a little no nonesense but when it comes to health who needs nonsense.

I had sleeve surgery in February 2010. My weight was 208lbs @ 5'3. Today my weight is 145lbs. The surgery was not easy but the results are well worth the pain. Dr Olsen is by far the very best in Middle Tennessee

I've been ill for a very long time. I live several hours away from Dr. Olsen, my last visit was in 2008 I did mention my gastric issues then, and they were dismissed. I just returned 2012, I've lost my job, my home and have been homeless for over 2 years. Dr Olsen was so cold to that fact and just said it's been hard for all of us. On a good note the dietician and group leader couldn't have been more compassionate and supportive. This has been the hardest think I've ever had to live through, or talk about. My regular doctor at home misdiagnosed me for 9 years. I was over medicated, over diagiagnosed, and lost everything because of it. I feel the compassion level is being lost as the amount of patients goes up. Am I wrong, or was it just a bad day for the both of us?

Dr Olsen is a very determined Doctor. By that he's determined to see you succeed in WLS. His staff could not be any better at what they do. I believe having staff that has been in my shoes make all the difference in the world. Dr. Olsen wants things done right, no excuses. My first meeting with him was 2 hours long, informative, and he gave all the possible risks that there could be. I have a great deal of respect for Dr. Olsen, and think his office is top notch. These are only my views, and research should be done by anyone looking to have the surgery.

I first met Dr. Olsen when he performed my wife's surgery in 2009. I really liked the fact that he was very straight forward and honest. But also took the time to explain every small detail and the most minor questions. About a year after my wife's surgery I decided to see Dr. Olsen about performing surgery on me. At the time I weighed 336lbs. At the time of my consult I was told that I would need to have a referal from my primary care physician. Upon speaking to my pcp I was told that he did not see any reason for anyone to have this surgery. Being very upset and thinking my surgery was over I made a call to Gay at Dr. Olsen's office and told her to cancel my future appointments. She told me to come see Dr. Olsen and "he WOULD take care of it". Well he did just that. I gained a whold new respect for Dr. Olsen that day when I heard him FIGHT for me with the insurance company. After about 5 minutes I was approved for surgery. I have no doubt in my mind that Dr. Olsen and his staff have saved my life and the life of my wife! Since this time i have lost 150lbs and haven't looked back. My wife has had some ongoing health issues (not related to surgery) and Dr. Olsen has been there every step of the way to lend any advise or help that he could. In closing, I have recommended Dr. Olsen and his staff to others who were interested in surgery and I will continue to do so. THANK YOU Dr. Olsen and staff.
