First impression was very positive, his concern for me was expressed deeply. I respect his knowledge and guidance.

Dr. nahas seems to be very willing to spend alot of time w/his patients. I feel like I can ask him anything. I have heard a few bad things about him but the positive seems to out weigh the negatives. My only concern is to find out why he lost privildges @ shore memorial hospital. I believe it had to do w/medicare fraud not anything to do w/his surgery techniques. I have attended his support group and feel quite content to allow dr nahas to preform my surgery.

Dr. Fred Nahas is such a wonderful man. He puts me at ease by just stepping into the room. He has a great sense of humor. Jennifer and Mary are two of his office staff and they both had their surgery through Dr. Nahas. They run the support group meeting and have educated me immensely. The doctor usually attends the group as well. I give him an A+ on both bedside manner and surgical skill. (On 9/19/02 he inserted a Greenfield filter into me.) Overall, I would not want anyone else doing my surgery.

My first impression of Dr. Nahas was that he seemed very professional, and friendly at the same time, and I felt like he truly was interested in helping me. I think his office staff are great!!! Beth is as friendly and helpful as anyone I have met, and Nada is also very nice and very helpful. Jen and Mary are also very supportive people, who know exactly what is going on, as they have had the surgery with Dr. Nahas and they run his support group. There was nothing that I didn't like about Dr. Nahas. He recommended I attended a WLS support group, and I did, and I now go every month. I find it very informative, and helpful. It is now held @ his office in Somers Point on the first Tuesday of every month @ 7pm. Future patients should know that they need to be ready to do this when they call Dr. Nahas, because unlike many other doctors who perform this, there is a very short turnaround time between first visit & surgery.

I completed my consult with Dr. Nahas yesterday 8.19.02. I found him to have a wonderful bedside manner. He answered my every question as well as my husband's questions and never made us feel rushed. After seeing quite a few surgeons in my quest to find the right one I believe I have. I feel confident trusting him to rearrange my guts lol. The office staff is more than friendly...lovely girls. Two of his staff have had wls and are more than willing to talk to you about it which I thought was nice...and reassuring. The office is very busy and I had to wait quite a long time in the waiting room before seeing the Dr. which is always a bother, however I didn't mind once I got to see him and he was very thorough. He ordered a battery of pre-op tests I have to complete now so thats where I stand..hopefully it won't be too traumatic lol...I'm a bit worried about having the upper GI but I'm sure I can bite the bullet hehe. Dr. Nahas insists that you attend his wls support group for at least 1 year post-op if not longer. I havent attended his support group yet so I'll post about that when I do. So far so good...

Well I heard so many wonderful things about Dr. Nahas, I was a little nervous when I first met him. He is a very nice man and he explained everything to me and he let me know the pro and cons on surgery and has chose open for me because of the different problems I have. I trust him and know that God will have a special hand of protection upon me and that he will lead Dr. Nahas through this surgery. I think his staff is wonderful since I know Jennifer and Mary and they have both been through the surgery, they help me with so many questions that I have. There is a great support group meeting held every first tuesday of the month and Dr. Nahas's office

My first impression of Dr Nahas was very laid back. I work in healthcare and so does my sister. It was my sister that told me he was a great surgeon. When I finally went to see him I got had gotten a good first impression. The office staff is very informative with my needs. They are they for any questions that I might of had. During each visit that I had I had more and more questions to ask him about gastric bypass and he was right there and answered my every question. The one time I had left his office he actually gave me a video to watch. He had told me that he normally wouldn't give this to anyone, but I guess I was a special case. He explained all the risks and complications very throughly to me and if I didn't understand he would re-define it for me in a matter that I would understand. Overall, I really really enjoy him. He is an excellent surgeon and I would reccomend him to anyone in the South jersey area!!!!

My first impression of him was great, I have not had any problems talking to him.
The staff was fantastic and helped me so much. They had my tests scheduled right away. Every time I've called they gave me prompt and curteous help.
Dr Nahas is really easy to talk to. I had made a list of all the questions I wanted answered, and he waited and answered each and every one. He lets his paitents know that this is not a quick fix. This is something that you do not go into lightly. After care is very important. He has discussed type of Diet, nutritional supplements etc.
I am due to have the surgery so I will let you know what kind of surgeon he is. His bedside manor shows in his office visits.
I had my surgery 1-25-02...I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Nahas. He has been such a blessing to me. I had some problems at the hospital, but he handled them right away. Xray was the worst. But I got over it.He had a great bedside manor and I think I even made him laugh a few times.
(you don't know what you'll say when you are on morphine} And his surgical competence...I have no problems with him. He is a great and caring surgeon. If I had any complications, I would surely feel comfortable letting him take care of them.
Hi, I keep my regular visits with my surgeon. I am still positive about the process that I have been through. I go tomorrow for my 5 month check up.
