My first impression of Dr. Kerlakian was this is a doctor who knows what he's doing. He explained everything to me pros and cons and he made me feel like I was in good hands. I had other friends who had the same surgery that Dr. Kerlakian did and they love him and recommend I pick him to do my surgery. The office staff was very nice and caring before and after surgery. The post care program is great, they don't just leave you after surgery, they keep you on track for success.

My first impression of Dr. Kerlackian was that you didn't have to persuade him you needed the surgery but that he already knew that it was your last option to save your life. My impression is still the same. The office staff has the attitidude also that they totally understand that this is your last options. They are conforting and really nice. The entire staff strictly enhancing and encourage aftercare. Risks were address seriously. I would rate Dr. Kerlackian has very compentant to do this surgery. Both the sompentencing and beside manner are important to me.

My first impression of Dr. Kerlakian was that he honestly cares about his patient's and what he does for them. He listened to all my fears and anxiety and answered all my questions.
Dr. Kerlakian and his nurse both went over the risks and complications thoroughly. His program stresses the importance of support and compliance after the surgery.
The Bariatric Team are friendly knowledgeable and have an "open door policy".

I liked everyone.

Located in Cincinnati and affiliated with GHA and Good Sam hospital. Very professional, knowledgable, great bedside manner, & staff is top-notch! Would recommend them to anyone considering Lap-Band. Accessible via phone consult or in house appt in a very timely manner. Extremely knowledgable and hands-on staff - I attended 8 pre-surgery staff meetings and met one on one with them, including Dr. Kerlakian. Dr. Kerlakian also met with my husband to explain pre and post op surgery and answered any questions my husband had. Dr. Kerlakian wants to make sure that your family and spouse have your complete support. On a scale of 1 - 10, Dr. Kerlakian and his staff are a 15 !! Honestly. I recently had my gall bladder removed 24 months post op Lap-Band, and this surgery recovery period was like the Lap-Band, approx. 3-5 days for me!!! Very Structured pre-surgery and post-surgical care.

knew him from past esperiences. one of if not the best surgeon/bariatric surgeon in the field. very knowlegable and always learning to improve his technique, leasves minor scars after surgery. His staff is extremely good. They love him and do thei job with the utmost professionalism. And I am not just saying this; I believe everything I am writing with every fiber of my being. Stress aftercare to the utmost. the aftercare program is very explicit. he tells you all the risks before, during and post surgery; Overall. on a 1 - 10 he and his entire staff are 10!!! Surgical competence is tantamount; bedside manners are a plus, He and his staff have both. Nothing negative to say

Q: What was your first impression of him/herrnrnA: The first time I saw my doctor I thought \"yep he's a Dr. alright\".rnrnQ: How did your impression of him change over time?rnrnA: After meeting him, and working with him for sometime now, I've found him to be a really nice, affable, gentleman, that's not just about the medicine but about the people too.rnrnHe really seems to care about his patients as people, and not just as a number or a paychecck.rnrnQ:How would you describe his office staff?rnrnA: His office staff and I have \"butted heads\" a few times you could say, sometimes because of them, sometimes because of fact that I can be a very difficult individual to deal with, and sometimes because of others.rnrnBut all in all I'd have to say that for the most part they are proffesional and kind. rnrnQ: What did you like least about him?rnrnA: The fact that he had to at one point put a delay on my surgery date.rnrnQ:What should future patients know about him?rnrnA: I think my Doctors patients should know that he's probably one of the best Doctors you could go to for this surgery, in the Cincinnati Ohio area. I mean he really, really, 'knows his stuff\".rnrnQ: How much does he/she emphasize aftercare?rnrnA: Well I'm a special case. I've had some repeat infections, so he sees me once a week. And is personally monitoring my wound care.rnrnQ: Does he/she have a structured aftercare program.rnrnA: Yes. rnrnQ: How did he/she adress the risks of rnsurgery? rnrnA: Both the Dr. and the team were very up front about the risks associated with my procedure. And besides informing me in writing of what the risks were, went over those risks several times with me individually. rnrnQ: How would you rate him/her overall?rnrnA: On a scale of one to ten. 10 being the best and 1 being the worst I'd have to give my Dr. somewhere between a 8 or a 9. rnrnQ: Which is better, surgical competence, bedside manner, or are both great?rnrnA: In my case I found my Dr. to be great in both area's. Infact that's why I plan on having him fix my hernia next.rnrn
