Dr. Lynch is great. He is a very nice and caring person. Both my mother and husband met him when i was having surgery and both liked him immediately. The day after surgery, i called his office to ask the nurse a question about taking some medication and the person answering the phone put me on hold for like two minutes. Dr. Lynch, himself took my call right away and i was very impressed. I don't think i've ever spoken to my regular PCP when calling her office or any other doctor. Normally, it's a nurse. His personal attention really impressed me. He remembered me and asked about how i was feeling, etc. I would reccomend him to anyone.

I had heard lots of good things about Dr. Lynch through my job ( I work in the medical field.) I actually attended two seminars that he held. The first one was when he had just started performing WLS and the second was about a year ago. He told it like it was. He didn't sugar-coat anything. I needed to know all the risks/benefits before hand and be ready to change my life. I had my surgery on December 26, 2006. I had multiple hospitalizations after the surgery due to nausea. He was great throughout everything. I have complete confidence in him and actually refer patients to him from the office I'm at now. I can send them with the confidence that they will receive great care.

I first saw Dr Lynch at a Saturday morning information gathering meeting in the spring. We got to see a real lap band and his explanation was very thorough, the process, the expectations, the after care calendar, etc. When I saw my PCP a week or so later, she was very happy I met him as she told me she sends all her laproscopic surgeries to him! What a testimony from her about her respect of his skills (my words, not hers so he doesn't get the big head!)... He has always been encouraging and thoughtful in his responses. I would recommend him in a minute for anyone interested in his services. I think he gets a real kick out of our successes and that is pretty neat.rnrnHis office staff are very friendly and helpful. The nurse and nutritionist always have interesting insights and suggestions. They are very encouraging. The nurse has experienced bariatric surgery so she knows where we are, she tells it the way she see's it and it is from a voice of experience, never condesending. rnrnThere really hasn't been anything I don't like about the Surgeon or his staff. We have monthly meetings, there is a topic of interest with someone who will lead the group. My surgeon is in a group of 3 who do bariatric surgeries. One Doctor has lots of experience and the room is filled with his patients. My Doctor hasn't had so many patients come to these meetings but I personally feel that I need them. I have missed a couple because for me to go it is time off from work, so if the topic isn't especially relavent, I pass until next month. I am excited to learn of the OH members locally, so we can support each other as well.rnrnDr Lynch was very informative before the surgery. We had a long meeting prior to the surgery to discuss the pros and cons, and any questions I may have, and answered some of his questions. If he didn't think I was a good candidate I don't think he would have accepted me as a patient for this procedure. My insurance company made me go through what they call the Succeed program, it was for 3 months, once a week and had to go to a meeting to learn and discuss issues related to this topic. We also had to excercise for 30 minutes 3 tims a week, plus loose 10% of the body weight before I could be approved for surgery. During this time I discovered I had sleep apnea and I had suspected, but had no confirmation I had this. With his encouragement I was tested. So now I sleep with a cpap machine. Not crazy about sleeping looking like I'm wearing a really bad Darth Vader mask, but I really love the results. Without the prequalifying issues I would have never found this out, and it was Dr. Lynch who encouraged me to go through a sleep study. It probably saved my life, it has certainly inproved the quality of my life. Hopefully with weight loss I will be able to wean off this machine, but for now I enjoy the results.rnrn He expects a life long commitment. At first it is a montly commitment until the fill is right, then a little longer between visits, then when goal is reached, an annual contact with him. I feel this is doable and reasonable.

My first impression of Dr. Lynch is that he was a little goofy :) My impression has changed a lot. I think I have probably talked to him more in the last year than I have my family!!! He is very honest and thourough. What I liked least about him was that I was the 13th person that he had performed the surgery on and he sometimes seems hurried. This was over a year ago. He is a surgeon that tells it like it is. I almost died (not his fault!!!) and was in the hospital for a couple of months. He was there everyday and stayed in constant contact with my family. Anytime they had any questions he was there to answer. I can call his office anytime if I have a question and I never feel like I am bothering anybody (even though I probably am :) ) I think that he is a great surgeon.
