George Mueller Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

I have met Dr. Mueller twice now. Once at a seminar and again in his office during my consult. Both times he was very nice yet informative and also very light hearted(funny).

WHEN I WENT TO THE SEMINAR FOR THE SURGERY AND LISTEN TO DR MUELLER HE TALK VERY DOWN TO EARTH AND COULD JOKE AROUND WITH US, I THINK HE KNOW THIS WAS A NEW ADVENTURE FOR US AND HE MADE US FELL AS COMFORTABLE AS POSSIBLE WITH GIVING US THE INFORMATION THAT WE NEEDED.
MY FRIST VISIT WITH DR. MUELLER WAS VERY PERSONABLE, HE EXPLAINED EVERY THING ABOUT WHAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN DURING SURGERY AND ASKED SEVERAL TIMES IF I HAD QUESTIONS. HE SHOKE MY HAND BEFOR AND AFTER THE VISIT.
THE GIRLS IN THE OFFICE ARE GREAT TOO, THEY CALLED AND CHECK UP ON ME EVERY STEP OF THE WAY, TWO OF THE STAFF CAME IN THE HOSPITAL TO SEE ME WITH ALL MY AFTER CARE INSTRUCTIONS AND ONCE I EVEN HAD TO CALL ONE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND SHE DIDN'T SOUND PUT OFF AT ALL.
THEY TREAT MY QUESTIONS LIKE THEY ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT EVEN THOUGH I'M SURE THEY HAVE HEARD IT A HUNDRED TIMES.
ALL IN ALL I HAVE HAD THE BEST EXPERIANCE AND CAN'T WAIT TO GO TO THE SUPPORT GROUPS.

I had my consultation with Dr. Mueller today. He is very personable and I'm confident he is the right surgeon. He took the time to explain the surgery to me and answer all of my questions. My questions mostly centered around the safety of the procedure and possible complications. He was up front about these issues but assured me that I was in overall good health and would probably have no complications. I'll keep my fingers crossed :)

I had a great first impression of Dr. Mueller when I met him at the informational seminar.He was very honest and to the point as far as the risks and benefits of Lap gastric bypass surgery and also very thorough on the procedure and what it entailed. He also took the time to answer questions and was not rushed, which I appreciated very much!Over time, my impression only got better. He was the same at the office as he was at the seminar and I had absolutely no problem choosing him as my surgeon after my consult. His office staff was kind and caring and excellent about keeping in touch and making appointments throughout the whole process. Future patients should know that they would be under great care of a highly skilled surgeon. Dr. Mueller emphasizes aftercare 100% that is very important for the patients well-being and success. They also have a very structured aftercare program not only for support but as well as guidance for nutrition and excersize.A program that will be for the rest of your life! Now tell me that that is not people that don't care about your health and well-being! They are great!Dr.Mueller addressed the risks of surgery with honesty,care, and concern and made sure that I was well informed of what was going on.His surgical competence was outstanding as well as his bedside manner. He truly cares about each individual patient he has. I would rate him a 10 overall!! Job well done Dr. Mueller!!!

Dr. Mueller makes me feel very comfortable. My husband and I first met him at a Bariatric Surgery Seminar, he is very knowledgable and compassionate which is one of the most important things for me. Dr. Mueller performed my husband's bariatric surgery and the experience with him has been excellent, I would recommend Dr. Mueller any time. I will be having my surgery soon and I know I'm in good hands. I'm very excited. Dr. Mueller and his staff are very interested in their patient's peace of mind and make sure all questions are answered.

I first saw Dr. Mueller at a support group meeting that I attended while researching WLS. He was upbeat, funny, and gave an excellent first impression.

Everyone that I have had contact with either at Sharp Memorial Hospital or SD Bariatrics has just been wonderful. They really impress me as being "on top of their game".
The personal attention that was paid to me is the reason that I chose to self pay for surgery at this office rather than jump through all the insurance hoops and have surgery with another doctor who didn't give me the same impression.

So far I am very impressed by the staff and Dr. Mueller. Their seminar was excellent. So far, the process has been seamless and easy. I have had one consultation with Dr. Mueller during which he talked to me and my husband about the surgery, the possible risks and complications. I was also impressed with how the office staff took care of setting up all my consultation appointments. They then sent me a packet with the appointment times, locations, and directions to each office. Scheduled for a pre-op on 2/4/05. I will see Dr. Mueller during that visit, but the majority of the time will be spent with the nutritionist. Dr. Mueller's program stresses aftercare... there are monthly Support meetings and monthly Nutritional meetings.

I haven't met Dr. Mueller yet, but will meet him on February 1st at my preop oppointment. I was working with his colleague, Dr. Llorente, but he just retired:-(. I really like Dr. Llorente and am a little nervous about meeting a new doctor. I will let you know how my appointment goes with Dr. Mueller

Dr. Mueller is a saint. Truely god sent. He was there on the weekend while I was in the hospital and everything, he covered all the bases. He was direct and kind. I could not have asked for a better surgeon!

Dr. Mueller is extremely knowledgable and has a tremendous reputation in this field. He made me so comfortable with him from the first meeting that I asked him to be sure that he was the one doing the surgery. I haven't known him long enough for my opinion to have changed at all. His staff is exceedingly helpful and kind. They give me the feeling that I will be well taken care of. (so far they have fullfilled that reputation). I can't think of anything I was uneasy about with my surgeon or his staff. Future patients should really try to use this surgeon if they have the oppertunity. The aftercare program is the biggest portion of the entire journey. There are numerous doctor visits, unlimited support groups, much education about what to do and not to do before and after the surgery. I feel like this staff will be with me for life. The surgeon and his staff are maticulous in their effort to get me mentally and physically prepared for surgery. They have repeatadly told me that this is a major surgery and could have complications to include death. This is a major decision and they want you to be prepared for it. I don't think there is a better surgeon for me. I have only experienced the beginning of the process so I have no knowledge of his bedside manner or surgical skills other than his reputation.
