Dr. Broderick and his office staff are the bomb. They have seen me through plenty of ups and downs, and I couldn't appreciate it more! Highly recommended.
I had my gastric bypass surgery done by Dr Broderick-Villa on August 6th this year during my appointments with him he made me feel at ease he did not sugar coat any of the dangers involved. He came to see me a couple of times during my three day stay. The entire staff looked after me very well they were there when I oppened my eye's and he was there making sure I was okay and letting me know the surgery went okay I would recommend him and his staff to anyone deciding to do the surgery.
I was very apprehensive of Dr. Broderick-Villa at first. He didn't do anything wrong so don't jump to conclusions. It is my nature to be wary of everyone and never let ANYONE get close. He was and still is very professional. Over time as I saw him on my follow ups I started trusting him more and no longer considered him "a" doctor but "my" doctor. Now that my company is forcing me to change insurances I'm sad that he will no longer be my doctor. His staff is wonderful and very supportive (especially if you go to the support groups). You can call any one of them and each one is glad to help you out or get back to you ASAP. Anyone who has Dr. Broderick-Villa for their surgeon and follow ups understands what I mean.
My surgeon was amazing! Hes very professional and has a great bedside maner. His staff was just as amazing and they are available 24/7 for any question you have. I give Dr. Broderick and his staff an A+++
Dr. Broderick-Villa is a very good doctor. I immediately found his personality and bedside manner to be in line with the type I would need to make me feel confident. I originally went in for the lap band and he had the unfortunate duty after oredring tsts to let me know I would not be a good candidate after finding out I had sever reflux issues. He them discussed other options with me and I chose the GBS. My husband met him at my pre surgical appointment and found him to be very confident and personable, which put us both at ease, even asked him about his success and failures. On the day of surgery as I was sitting on the operating table I was relating my one other surgical experience to the anethesiologist and mentioned listening to music to calm my nerves, he pulled out his itouch and asked what I wanted to listen to, and put on some Nora Jones before I went under. That was the last memory I have pre surgery. He came to the hospital twice a day to check on me even on Saturday when I checked out that afternoon.
He listened to my families concerns, while I was in surgery my mother, who had GBS 2 days before in another town, not at a center of excellence, started to hemmorrage. My husband pulled the staff aside right after I returned from the recovery room and they called Dr. Broderick-Villa, and he immediately changed his medical protocol to aide in potentially protecting me from the same possible outcome as we have a hemophilia issue in our family. I would not hesitate to recommend him.
