Dr. Huerta is very caring and compassionate. He was very informative about the surgery and also instructions for after the surgery. He made sure that I was very taken care of. I could not have asked for a better surgeon. I can not say enough about the hospital and nursing staff. They were very professional and caring. The Solutions staff have been great! They have made sure I haven't needed anything and when I did they were right there!! Everyone involved has made this experience one I will never regret!!

Dr. Huerta was great. Every time I have gone to see him, he has always been very attentive, never in a hurry, and always answers all of my questions. Very honest about what to expect both good and bad. He has a very caring attitude regarding my well being. He answered my wife's questions and reassured her that i was eating enough food during my recovery.rnGrowing up i was always involved in sports year around and really did not have any weight problems until 8th grade. In 8th grade i started gaining weight, maybe something to do with me havign a job, earning money and buying sodas and twinkies etc. By the time I had entered ninth grade I have gained 25 ponds in one year. I quickly lost most of the weight because I again was involved in sports. During the 15 years my weight would fluctuate 15 to 20 pounds depending on my activities and eating patterns. It seems like over night i would gain these 20 pounds and then all I had to do was get more active, and atch what i would eat and lose it. As the years continued, i continued to gain weight and each time i went tothe ddoctor they told me i needed to lose weight. When i asked how, they would tell me to eat less! Soon, I was on blood pressure medicine. I have tried each type of diet at least twice. Always losing some weight, but, gaining more than i had lost back. My health problems continued for 20 years as i would hear from each physician that i was obese and needed to lose weight. I was having back pain, knee and hip problems on top of my hypertension. Working in a hospital I had heard about baratric surgery but did not think i needed it. A year ago, as my wife and i were leaving the pharmacy to pick up my latest prescription, I noticed a sign advertising a weight loss seminar at Horizon Medical Center. I was a 120 pound overweight and very unhappy about it. I said to my wife, see that sign about the seminar . I would like to go. And to my surprise she said ok, i'll go with you. We went and heard about gastric bypass surgery, all the good and bad. At the end of the seminar i picked up one of the packets to apply for gastric bypass. For the next 2 weeks i pondered if this is really what i wanted? I investigated through the internet and friends that worked in hospitals surgery area. Through my investigation i meet two people who had had the surgery and were very glad they did. I would have never guessed they had had several weight problems before. So i filled out the application and waited for insurance approval. Health Solutions was very helpful, they kept me informed of the process and communications with my insurance provider. It took 4 months additional paperwork and 10% weigh loss to get approval.Health Solution helped me through the process of losing 10% with walking, excercising and diet program. Once I was approved i had to wait another 3 weeks for my surgery and by that time i had lost 41 punds. I had my surgery 4 months ago 3-31-08 and have lost another 88 pounds for a total of 129 pounds, 5 punds from my goal. This was somewhat easy. Not easy getting use to a whole new diet, but with results it was very rewarding. I honestly believe in my heart that I will alwaysnow keep the weight off.

Being overweight has been a lifelong struggle for me. Dieting worked temporarily. I always gained weight back. Dr. Huerta is very kind and explains the procedures so well before he does anything. The staff at Solutions was so helpful and informative before and after the surgery. The hospital staff before and after my procedure were so patient and understanding. The instructions for release after the procedure were great.

My name is Pam Gunn. I started my weight loss journey in 2007 with a call to Marcia Williams at Solutions in Dickson ,TN (I saw a pamphlet at my PCP's) Marcia told me the steps to take to make sure surgery is what I needed. After several months of visits with my PCP and attending the seminar at Solutions and meetings, with Marcia and staff my surgery was approved by my insurance provider in February 2008. I had my surgery March 19 2008. I have lost nearly 40 lbs and 26 1/2 inchs since March 2008.rnDr. Huerta is very capable surgeon. He wants to make sure you understand the beneftis and risks of the surgery prior to your surgery. After surgery, he questions you at your visits to make sure you are following post-op instructions to get the benefits from the surgery. My primary care physician Dr. George Mathia and staff were very supportive through this process. Also Marcia Williams and Pam and staff at Solutions were wonderful. tehy were and are only a phone call away to answer my many questions.

I have been overweight all of my life. In 2007 I was bigger than i ever was before. I didn't want to go out. I didn't like people looking at me. I went to a seminar had surgery May 27 2008 and as of August 14 I have lost 45 lbs.rnMy friend told me about the surgeon. She said her cousin had it done by him. The staff and him seemed very nice and professional.rnEveryone treated me like family. I could tell they wanted the best for me.

I needed to get weight off my knees which have been replaced. I could'nt exercise and dieeting alone wasn't helping, so i opted for Lap Band.rnDr. Huerta is the greatest. He is a very compassionate Surgeon and truly cares about his patients.rn The support system in place for weight loss is unbeatable. They have always been there for me with many questions and apprehensions.

I needed to lose the weight because it was taking a toll on my health, my family and my life.rnDr. Huerta is great. I don't know what else to say. People couldn't believe I was going to Dickson, TN formy surgery instead of Nashville. I felt the most comfortable here and felt like I would be better cared for in a smaller hospital. I also know Dr. Huerta's reputation.

I really like Dr. Huerta. My first impression of him was that he understood me. My impression of him only improved over the year. His office staff is great, and Marcia Williams really cares. I think new patients will really like him. The aftercare program at Solutions is the greatest (It seems like too much at times) I attribute my success to sticking to the program ( LITERALLY ) They made me fully aware that this surgery isn't a cure it is a tool. I would rate Dr. Huerta a \"10\". He makes no beans about it, he will tell you what your problems are and he will help you fix them. But most of all he will be there for you and listen to you. His bedside manner is honest and to the point. He answered all of my husband's questions and concerns. I would recommend and have recommended him to several people inquiring about having WLS.
