I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Soriano. He has an amazing bedside manner and is an excellent surgeon. Is very matter of fact and wants the best for his patients. I am following him to another hospital in January because I want to stay with him for my follow up care. When I was hospitalized with dehydration a few weeks out, I went to a local hospital instead of his and he was in contact with the ER physician there and kept me updated on tests and results through text messages quicker than the ER did. Fabulous, fabulous, fabulous and would recommend him to everyone.

I came to Dr. Soriano in 2009 after another doctor botched my WLS preparations and conned me out of $3,000. Since I went through months and months of classes with another doctor, he didn't make me repeat them. He even waived the program fee. He sent me for lots and lots of tests, which made me feel safe and as if he was very invested in my success (even if all those tests were a royal pain to complete). He's not the warmest of people, but he's my doctor, not my friend. I have yet to have surgery (it's next week!) but I am confident that it will go off without a hitch. I trust him. I have nothing but good things to say about him and his staff. They never "forget" you. You never have to hound them for test results or appointments, like you often have to with other doctors. Everyone in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area should go to Temple. Trust me, I know what it's like at other hospitals.

When I first met Dr. Soriano, I thought "typical surgeon" meaning no sense of humor. Dr. Soriano is very professional and caring. He is very patient oriented and closely monitors all patient care before, during and after surgery. Dr. Soriano was very much involved in post surgery tests while I was still in the hospital. Temple has a structured before and aftercare program. The bariatric staff, nutritionists, nursing staff and Dr. Soriano are the best! My son is doing the six month diet prior to his wls surgery and Dr. Soriano and Temple are the only ones I trust my son with. They are beyond reproach.
Dr. Soriano saved my life!

My first impression of Dr. Soriano was that of a confident surgeon; which was very much a plus. Because I had conducted so much research before my appointment with him, we were able to talk in depth about the procedure I was seeking and my candancy for WLS. He is direct and expects his instructions to be followed; but not rude in any manner. He is very caring and his beside manner is genuine; he is on his patients' side. I would recommend Dr. Soriano to everyone. Lastly, he is no longer in IL, he now practices at Temple Hospital; where he is an Assistant Prof of surgery.
