He was thourough and knowledgeable, made me feel comfortable with my decision, and made sure that I had all the informatino that I needed to go ahead with the surgery with confidence. The office staff was always friendly and helpful with any concerns that I may have had.
The only thing that I didn't like about him was that he didn't make small talk, he was strictly business.
I believe he has switched hospitals, because Winona has went out of business.
Aftercare was stressed, along with attending support group meetings, and psychiatric counseling.
The aftercare program was very structured and included in the price of the surgery. All of the risks were stressed and we had to go through extensive classes to make sure that we knew what to do after the surgery in order to make it a success.
His surgical competence is unserpassed, he has been doing this for many years.
My initial reaction to Dr. Crossin was that he was very knowledgable but I did not find him very personable. After having surgery and follow up visits I find my first impression was wrong. He is a very kind and caring doctor, who is very dedicated to helping obese individuals win the battle. He is very thorough in his explanation of the procedure- including the risk. His staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly. The aftercare program is a 5 year plan, which is one of the reasons I selected Dr. Crossin and the WinLife program. I would recommend both to anyone contemplating Gastric Bypass surgery!
I just loved Dr. Crossin. I would highly recommend him to everyone. He is very patient. He will answer any question you ask. He is very concerned with you and his bedside manner is awesome. Everyone at WinLife has been wonderful to me. He really emphasizes aftercare, especially since they follow your outcome for 5 years.
My first consultation was May 5, 2003. Dr. Crossin was a nice. He answered several concerns I had. I am participating in the WinLife program where there is a 5-year aftercare program. He insisted that without aftercare, it is impossible to succeed. From what I observed, overall he is a nice doctor, who is very focused.
My first impression of Dr. Crossin was excellent. I was really scared to meet him, hoping that he had a great personality, bed side manners...he did. The staff and Winlife was excellent. I would recommend this facility and Doctor to anyone who is looking into surgery.
Now it is a waiting game for my insurance to get going.
