My friend went to Dr. Wagner two years ago for her surgery and she has nothing but good things to say about him and Sarah his ofc. staff. So when I finally decided to have the procedure done, I went to his free seminar. I instantly chose him to be my physician and I am so glad I did. He is the nicest, most patient Dr. I have ever met. And I work for a group of Drs. Sarah is wonderful. I am sure I drove her crazy with all of my questions, but if I did, she sure didnt show it. She was so good at getting my insurance approved. I work for Internal Medicine Drs and we are referring all of our patients who wish to have this surgery done to him. Thank you Dr Wagner and THANK YOU Sarah!!!!

When I went for my first appt. with Dr. Wallace I was sooooooo scared, but the more I talked with hime the more comfortable I got. It was also nice to know that he was the chief trauma surgeon, I knew if I got in trouble in the OR there would be no better at my side. At first he seems to be a very gruff man but the more you deal with him the softer he gets!!! I have to laugh the people at the hospital call him the wizard, now I know why!! THANK YOU DR WALLACE!!!!

My first inpression of Dr. Wallace was that he was very serious. I was even a bit afraid of him! He was sooo wonderful throughout the whole process and especially after surgery. I wouldn't have wanted anyone else. He is my hero! rnThe office staff in Milwaukee is wonderful. Because I traveled quite a ways for my appointments, they worked with me on times, etc. They did everything I needed them to do and then some....rnThe program that Dr. Wallace runs is strict and you must be serious. If you take your job seriously and comply with all the requirements, Dr. Wallace and his team will make it happen for you! The pre and post operative periods are very important. If you don't want to put years into your healthcare, don't go to Dr. Wallace. He will work with you every step of the way as long as you make the commitment and hold up your end.rnThe aftercare program is spelled out for you in the initial seminar that you attend. There will be follow-up for at least 5 years post-op, so be prepared to follow-through.rnAll the risks are spelled out and carefully gone over before any insurance paperwork is sent in. They also go over each and every possible problem at your pre-op appointment.rnI would rate Dr. Wallace and his team a 10 out of 10. The bedside manner is important, but the competence is the most important...rnrn

I jumped on this WLS rollercoster in Novemeber of 2005, with Dr. Zane Prewitt at first, then found out my insurance would only pay if Dr. Wallace did the surgery and at Froedtert, my employer. After 4 months of preperation with Dr. Prewitt I had to start all over with Dr. Wallace, being his FIRST Lap Band canidate, I went throught MANY more hoola hoops! In the end, I was never so glad to have all of the hassles and delays. I actually opted to change procedures to the more invasive Roux-en Y-which I would have never considered doing had I not had such confidance in Dr. Wallace and his reputation. Keri, Colleen, Nedra, and Amy were absolutly phenomonal through the whole ordeal!

First impression of Dr. Wallace was not so favorable. Not that he wasn't a nice man but he made me cry. I left that day and was determined to prove him wrong. Silly me, that is exactly what he was trying to do, he knew I had it in me all along but I needed that push. Having said all that, my impression changed drastically. Dr. Wallace is a phenomenal man who is straight and to the point but also so compassionate at the same time. He went to bat for and got me where I needed to be. As far as the staff goes, you can't find people better anywhere else. They are always there.......always. They go above and beyond what any one could ever expect. What future patients should know about Dr. Wallce is that you couldn't be in better hands. Period! Aftercare is very important to this program and it should be. I have seen so many people fail who don't have the after care. The structured after care is great. The support is always there. All risks of the surgery are addressed very openly. On a scale of 1 to 10 if I had to rate Dr. Wallace, 1000 wouldn't even come close. Surgical competence and beside manner go hand in hand and by all means Dr. Wallace is excellent at both.

My first impression of Dr. Wallace was that he is very down to earth and doesn't pull any punches. I really appreciate his straightforwardness and candor about wls. The bariatric program that he heads at Froedert Hospital is very structured and all his staff is so caring and understanding. They have really held my hand the entire way through this process. He empasizes aftercare as the real key to success after wls. I would give him a 12 out of 10. His knowledge of surgery and his bedside manner are both wonderful. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering WLS.

I am very grateful to have had Dr. Wallace as my surgeon (performed RNY on 3/28/2006). He is very nice, down to earth and straightforward. He does not "sugar-coat" anything which is important when embarking on such a drastic, life-changing surgery. His entire team, including Dr. Nettleman (sp), Dr. Deb Andris, Chris Clay, Keri and all of the others have been great! Great people working for a World class hospital and their dedication to their bariatric program gave me the encouragement necessary to proceed.

I really liked him he was down to earth and right to the point.
His entire staff was wonderful and so helpfull with all aspects you can call them about anything. If they didn't know the answer they would find out and call you back immediately.
You have to commit to an extensive aftercare program.
On a scale of 1-10 I would rate him a 20.

I was immediately impressed with his knowledge on the subject in the first group meeting.

During my 1st appointment with him, it was if I was the only patient that he had that day. He was very calming and relaxed and answered all of my questions. Never did I feel like he was chiding me about my weight. He spoke to me as if I were an intelligent person...he didn't make me feel stupid. He saw me every day in the hospital.

The office staff is also great! Every one of them is very accomodating and friendly.

Aftercare is very important there are many follow ups scheduled.

I highly recommmend him to anyone who is considering this surgery!!!!!!

Dr. Wallace is a very straightforward man. He wants all his patients to be successful and pushes you to exceed at it. His staff is wonderful and caring. He has a total program from start to finish.
He is a conservative man and lets you know everything up front.
I highly recommend his program.
