Dr. Urbandt is fantastic. He was very professional and thourough.

I had my first pre-op appt and knew that I was going to be in good hands! Dr. Urbandt and his staff explained everything in detail and provided a very detailed information packet to take home incase any questions I did not think of at the appointment could be answered. The office staff is great too! They are so helpful I had to call a few times about questions and was given an answer right away or called within a few hours. I can't think of one thing I do not like about him or the staff. Aftercare is very important and he recommends calling with any questions right away so no problems arise and if they do they can be handled quickly. The risks of surgery were explained at all the pre-op appts and he made sure there was a clear understanding of the procedure and what was expected of me after the surgery. I would give him and his staff a 10!!!

Before and after the surgery, I had a million questions. Dr Urbandt and his team were very patient with me and answer every single one of my questions with out a problem.rnrnI can't say anything bad about him. I don't think its possible. He's a great guy and a great surgeon.

I am going through West Penn Bariatric Surgery Center in Pittsburgh for my surgery. Dr. Urbandt is going to be the surgeon operating on me. rnWhen I first met him and his assistance I automatically knew I was in good hands. They are both the sweetest people in the world and I cannot wait to continue my journey with them.

I have my first Consultation with Dr. Urbandt 'soffice. May 20th, 2008. He works out of West Penn Hospital. I so want to move the appointmenmt up sooner but my husband and I have to plan our work schedules.

*First Impression was that he was extremely knowledgeable about the surgery and he made me very comfortable. My impression did not change and only grew better with time. rn*The office staff is very friendly and helpful.rn*This is nothing about him I disliked.rn*He does have a slight accent.rn*Aftercare is very important in his practice.rn*There is a structured aftercare program which incluces a dietitian. This is also part of the pre-care program.rn*Risks of surgery are thoroughly gone over at EVERY appoinment.rn*Overall, I found DR Urbandt to be very thoughtful, caring, careful, competent and skilled.rn*I found both his surgical competence and bedside manner to be equal.rn*Can you tell I just like this man?? Yes, these are my personal opinions of this surgeon and Yes, they are all positive. However, my experience with DR Urbandt has been all good. My only problem came with a run-in with insulin after my surgery which was from his endocrinologist and was quickly resolved.

I haven't met my surgeon yet...I go for my first appointment with him on January 15, 2007. He performed the surgery for my sister-in-law in March 2006 and she has nothing bad to say about him. From what I understand, he is very helpful and his office staff is awesome!

Dr. Urbandt and his staff are wonderful. He is very knowledgable and cares about his patients. I had complications after my surgery and Dr. Urbandt always made me feel in capable hands. In my 6 months of visits prior to surgery I feel every risk was discussed as well as the committment required post op. Dr. Urbandt also has a P. A. that works for him Jamie O' Niell she's wonderful. I feel like their whole office is my family in my weight loss journey.

MY DOCTOR WAS GREAT BETWEEN HIM AND IHS ASSISTANTS I DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS AND I ASK HIM EVERYTHING AND HE ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS WITH NO PROBLEMS EVEN THE BAD QUESTIONS.... I WAS GLAD I FOUND HIM AND WENT TO HIM I WAS VERY COMFORTABLE WITH HIM.... HIS STAFF AND HIM MADE IT ALL HAPPEN AND I AM GREATFUL TO THEM.... THEY MADE SURE ALL MY PAPERWORK HAD ALL ITS I'S DOTTED AND T'S CROSSED AND GOT APPROVAL WITHIN 2 DAYS.... I RECOMMENED THIS DOCTOR IF ANYONE IS LOOKING FOR A GREAT DOCTOR/SURGEON TO HANDLE YOU WLS....
