Dr Steiner and his group at St Joe East Lexington, Ky. are personable, friendly and patient oriented. They really care. I had my own bariatric room after surgery and visted by his staff. I was given meds as requested with pleanty of support. The room was comfortable for a large person.

When I firt met Dr. Steiner he told me a story about something embarrassing one of his kids had asked in the middle of a resturant. He had me laughing til there were tears in my eyes. He is very friendly and easy to talk to and will listen with any concerns or questions you may have. Dr. Steiner takes the time to go over all the risks and what he feels would be the best procedure for you. The staff at St. Joseph Center for Weightloss are very kind, friendly and helpful. If I ever had to call to leave a message for someone they were very prompt in calling me back with an answer. Patients considering Dr. Steiner as their surgeon should know that he accepts nothing but the best for his patients and if he feels like you will not follow through with your lifestyle change after the surgery he will take the time to address that issue. Dr. Steiner and the staff at SJH Center for Weightloss will constantly remind you of how important it is to follow your lifestyle changes after the surgery and that the surgery is a tool for you to use not an easy way out. You have to attend several classes before surgery is even scheduled to make sure you know the importance of the lifestyle changes that you will need to make. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. Steiner to any and all future weightloss canidates. His surgical competence and bedside manner are by far the best I have ever seen.

Dr. Steiner is a caring surgeon with a non-nonsense attitude and great bedside manner! He fully explains what he's doing before he does it. He let's you know how you're doing and what he expects of you in regards to aftercare. He listens to you when you talk and will respond. I'm very impressed with his surgical competence and his bedside manner. There is nothing that I don't like about Dr. Steiner. He's witty and funny in his own way. The office staff is friendly and "in the know". They are very organized and willing to help you with any questions. They are quick to give you answers! I feel good knowing that I have such a great group of people to support me! I know that no one is 100% perfect but I have not one negative thing to say about Dr. Steiner or his staff based on my own personal experience.

I first saw Dr Steiner at an informational meeting at the Lexington Weight Loss Center. He was with two other surgeons and they were answering questions about weight loss surgery. I found him to be friendly, knowledgeable and warm. I had an appointment with him a bit later on and he made me feel so comfortable. I trusted him because of his caring nature. From the beginning he KNEW this surgery would work for me. He described it as a tool to help me lose and he KNEW I would be successful! I trusted in that and I trusted him and now, at 6 months post surgery, it's all been right and worth it! I am SO happy I had this surgery! I'm SO happy to know Dr Steiner and his staff! They never make you feel "fat"....they're there to help you and that's exactly what they do!

Dr. Steiner has been great so far. He is very no nonsense - not in a rush, but doesn't mess around either. So if you are looking for a lot of hand holding and chit chat, he's not your guy. But he is very good at what he does, is very open and encourages questions and very encouraging of me in general. The staff at the Center for Weight Loss Surgery is wonderful also!

My Surgeon was Dr. Josh Steiner.... First of all I didn't know a whole bunch about him until our first \"interview\", he had just come highly recommended by many post-op patients and I knew that I had to choose him. My first impression of him was....\"hey he is not half bad on the eyes\", and then after that I found him to be warm and caring, had tons of personality and just seemed to really care! So far my impression of him has not changed, well unless you take into concideration I still think he is just AMAZING!!! He made me smile after surgery when he came in the room and said, \"hey there rock star\". He answered all the silly questions I had and never made me feel like they were silly. He was kind to my husband the day of surgery and really is just an overall GREAT man! I feel very lucky that he was my surgeon and I wouldn't trade it for anything! The staff at Saint Joseph East are the BEST....they took great care of me, my exercise physiologist, Billy, even came by to make sure that I was getting up and around on the Bariatric Floor. The nurses at the office have been great as well.... a few days after I came home I had some horrible pains on my left side, I called and explained that I had what appeared to be a lump sticking out of my side. The nurse went and tracked down Dr. Steiner and he had me come in 15 minutes later. It ended up just being the muscles were a bit aggrivated but I am just soooooooooo blessed that the staff and my surgeon put their patients first!!!
