Dr Cendan and his staff are Great!! I can't say enough about the support and encouragement that I recieved! I give him a Ten for Bedside manner.

MET DR. CENDAN IN JULY AND HE WAS VERY INFORMATIVE, GAVE ME A BOOKLET ABOUT THE REALIZE BAND.rnHE INVITED MY HUSBAND AND I TO COME TO THE SEMINAR THE 8TH JULY AND WE FELT WELL INFORMED AFTER WE WENT.rnTHE NEXT WEEK I RECIEVED MY FIRST PACKET AND FILLED IT OUT TO BRING TO MY APPT. AUGUST 14.rnALL OUR QUESTION WERE ANSWERED AND WE FELT VERY COMFORTABLE .

I met my surgeon a few years ago when I was checking into getting a mole in my Birthmark removed from my leg. I talked to him about weightloss surgery a little bit while I was there. After a long ordeal with having another child and dealing with severe post-partam depression, being put on numerous anti-anxiety and depression drugs...i kept gaining weight..now here I am. I go in to meet him for pre-op on the 23rd...rnrnrnSo the 23rd came and went and I am ready for surgery! He really made me feel more comfortable about my decision and all that goes along with it..rnrnI am home now and wanted to let others know that my doctor and his staff were exceptional before and after the surgery. They came and saw me about 3 times a day each after my surgery and were always checking me to be sure that my scars were healing properly and I was progressing along okay. I am glad that I chose this staff!

Incredible the first impression. He is very friendly...The office staff work with profesionally. La primera impresión fue, \"tan joven que es, este médico y hace esta cirugía tan grande..!!! Me brindo mucha confianza desde el principio y siempre me hablo con mucha sinceridad. Le doy GRACIAS A DIOS porque el confío en que yo podia ser una candidata a gastric bypass. Sobre todo habla español. Luego del Gastric Bypass, la herida se infectó y el estuvo en todo momento pendiente a la situación y fue el mismo, personalmente, que me realizó la segunda cirugía para corregir el problema, habiendo ya dejado de trabajar en el hospital donde originalmente me operó. No tengo palabras para expresar todo el agradecimiento que siento por él. Día a día le envio bendiciones, pues su profesionalismo es increible al igual que su confianza con el paciente. A los 5 meses luego de la cirugia quede embarazada y el supo orientarme de manera muy comprensiba sobre la situación....rnrnDios te Bendiga.....rnJuan CarlosrnrnHola.. Estamos en Enero del 2007, al dia de hoy el Dr. Cendan me ha realizado 4 cirugias, todas muy complicadas. Gracias a DIOS y a sus benditas manos he podido salir bien, con muchas complicaciones pero muy bien. Todas las complicaciones porque mi cuerpo reacciona NO de la mejor forma, frente al stress de una cirugia, dijo ni yo tampoco porque me dan miedo...JA,ja,ja... creo que pronto voy a tener que someterme a sus manos de nuevo.rnrnDios te siga Bendiciendo...rnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrnrn

I went for my first consult to meet Dr. Cendan on 9/06, the process was fairly simple. I had the first appointment of the day so I got in and out quickly. The staff was nice and I fell comfortable having Dr. Cendan doing my surgery. He answered all of my questions and explained risks, and possible complications.

Dr. Cendan is very knowledgeable and I has awesome bedside manners, he really cares. I was visited alot by him during my hospital stay. He came in ans explained my surgery in detail. I can't say that there was anything negative about him

I had the fortune of knowing Dr. Cendan prior to my surgery. He had operated on me once before, so I picked him for that reason. He still continues to be a very nice, professional person who tells it like it is. I stressed that this is only the beginning, What you do with it is all up to you the patient.

His staff has been wonderful and very helpful in every way. They have a structured aftercare program and insist that you continue your follows as scheduled.

I am glad that I chose Dr. Cendan and his staff.

Wow! My first and standing impression is I REALLY like him. He is charming and very personable. He is a good listener and also explains all details both risks and benfits clearly and takes all the time you need for questions and answers. Never once felt "obese" with this doctor. I will let you know more after the big day. He is the teacher / instructor at the hospital so I feel I am in good hands and thankful to have found him because for Lap surgery I have heard that "He is the man"...

The office staff is good too. I have no complaints other than going to Shands is time consuming because it is a teaching hospital everything takes a little longer. Everyone associated with Dr. Cendan is polite and very accomodating. I would recommend them anytime.

As far as surgical competence and bedside manner is tops on both!

First impression was that he was a very
caring Doctor who made sure he answered all
your questions and concerns. This impression
did not change. The office staff was
excellent and took care of all the insurance
paperwork and following up. I did nothing
and received approval after 4-6 weeks.
Can't think of anything I didn't like about
the Doctor or office staff, except that the
dietician is aa bit abrubt and does not have
a warm personality - but you can't have
everything. Unfortunately, even though I
am still going for aftercare (which is a must
for 18 months), Dr. Cendan is no longer with
this office as he has accepted a teaching
position with Shands Hospital. There
are other surgeons in this practice
(Dr. Thorburn, Dr. Grooms, etc.) I have
already seen on follow-up appointments that
are just as excellent So far, there has
been no negative experiences.
