Jules Foute Nelong Bariatric Surgeon

So glad to hear you're doing great! I've started my Optifast diet yesterday and my surgery is scheduled for May 22nd with Dr. Jules. I have to say, I'm a little nervous, mostly about taking my medication. With a "tiny tummy", i'm pretty sure my pills will fill me right up. Plus, taking small sips of water won't help them go "down the hatch" too easily.
This optifast is a treat though (sarcasm). I did find that splashing a bit of almond extract into the chocolate makes it actually quite tasty. The vanilla makes me sad though :o)

I'm 5 days post-op, and feeling great. No complications so far (knock wood), and Dr. Foute Nelong was super. Very approachable and just plain nice.

He is an excellent surgeon! I had a complicated surgery (2 surgeries actually because of a complication) and he came to see how I was doing around 8am every morning! If he is your surgeon rest assured, you are in good hands!
I must add, with my complcation he personally called my husband to let him know what was going on. Usually they would have a nurse do it but not him he called himself, that alone for a surgeon is impressive!

Dr. Jules has been fantastic since the beginning. Always very thoughtful and considerate. He goes through everything and makes sure that you understand what is happening, and he came and saw me every day I was in the hospital. And, he isn't to bad to look at either. heh

Dr. Jules was amazing. He is honest, straight forward and cares about every step taken in your journey to recovery. He spoke with me before surgery and every day after. I am very honored to say he is the man who assisted me, in the largest part, of taking back a happier and healthier life.

Dr. Jules was GREAT. He took time to listen to me and showed respect for my opinions. In follow up visits he assured me that he is now "my surgeon" and he is willing to do any procedure that I may require in the future. All this and he is good looking too!

Dr. Jules is amazing, he was very friendly and took the time to explain the procedure thoroughly. On the day of my surgery I was so nervous but he reassured me and told me it was normal. After my surgery he came to visit me everyday and had a very professional and pleasant bedside manor. He was very thorough regarding all my tests and instructions and reassured me all the way along. I see Dr. Jules in a month and he stated that it was very important for me to follow up with all of my appointments. I would rate Dr. Jules Foute Nelong as a 10 for sure!

The staff at both the hospital and Dr. Jules clinic are very friendly and took nothing but the utmost of care of me.

I was very impressed with the care I received from "Dr. Jules" before, during and after surgery. He is very knowledgeable and explained things in a way that was easy to understand. I am very glad to have had him as my surgeon and would highly recommend him to anyone going through this journey.

My surgeon was AMAZING!! He did my surgery with absolutly no complications, visited me everyday I was in the hospital AND when I had a question, I called they office and they spoke with him and got back to me within FIFTEEN MINUTES!! I would recomend Dr.Jules to anyone, plus, hes not bad to look at ;) haha!

Very nice and friendly. Bariatric Clinic staff in Guelph are awesome.

Dr Foute-Nelong is originally from Cameroon, in Africa, and comes to Canada after studying in Bejing, China. He likes living in a smaller city, like Guelph.

Dr Foute-Nelong explained the different types of bariatric surgery very carefully, and why he selected RNY for me. He also explained the risks and benefits. I have complete confidence in him and his skills as a surgeon.
