I met Dr. Kole on Monday, June 28th. He was ery nice. I felt that he was very personable. He is very tall like everyone said. He gave me the ok for surgery. I wanted a date for next week but he is going out of town. He made me happy knowing that he has experience doing revisions. He would not do the surgery before going out of town because he wants to be there the entire time I am in the hospital after surgery. I am glad to know that he feels this as important. Dr. Kole really emphasizes after care. He wants his patients to be successful.

Consult scheduled June 20, 2005... will update after that!

I was going to go with Dr. Krause at William Beaumont Hospital but they are out of network for me (BCBS PPO) and I do not have $950 so I am going through the Cori Center.

I have gone to the consultation/seminar at Cori, in which Dr. Taylor was giving. He doesn't do the Lap so I have a scheduled meeting with Dr. Kole on June 13th 2005.

I was nervous when I went for my consultation because after spending months waiting to switch insurance providers and doing all the necessary tests and paperwork it was finally real. I was finally on my way to getting surgery. Dr. Kole took the time to answer all my questions and was very honest.

Dr. Kole is very tall. He is very knowledgeable, as well. The worst part about the process was the fact that you are basically herded along like buffalo, i.e. meaning you are in a group, you all watch the video and then it is first come first serve to the exam rooms, unfortunately, I worked the morning before my appointment and took 1/2 day off, so I got there at 1:00, on time but was still last, last for everthing, there were like 8 of us and it took like an hour and a half for my exam time to come about, which meant sitting in a room by myself, hungry because I did not eat and wait forever, when Dr. Kole finally came in he was understanding, he told me I was a lightweight and that we would go laparascopically. Aftercare is a must and his nurse is a little pushy but nice.

When I first met Dr. Kole he was quiet and I was a little unsure of him but once I got to know him I was in love with his personalty and how truthful he was when it came to telling me to pros and cons of surgey. He held nothing back and was very conforting.

The staff at the Cori Center was great they help you every step of the way when it came to insurance and reassurance.

He pressed for me to walk as soon as my surgey was over and to keep walking.

He was really great and I tell anyone who has considered this surgey to go to the Cori Center and ask for Dr. Kole.

Doctor Kole was very straightfoward. He stated what was needed to be done by both him, the office and myself. He seemed to really care about me and my care.

As for his office, well there was a schedualing error but beyond that everyone seemed to really know what was going on and how to do things.

Beyond that everything was great. Dr Kole and the entire CORI staff is great... just watch the schedualing. They really take care of you before, during and after the procedure. They told you all the risks, the dietician is knowledgeable and available. I would recomend CORI to anyone, they are a great bunch of people

After the stoma mishap the first time, I must say that the nurses are a little shaky. However, the doctors of the CORI center are spot on. I have placed and would do so again my life in both Dr. Kole and Dr. Hendricks hands and both doctors are beyond top notch. I thank them for all their hard work and putting up with me.

I found Dr. Kole to be young and very smart.
Most of CORI office staff was very friendly.
I was not told how much time was needed for the bariatric consultation...I was expecting an hour and it was closer to six hours. There needs to be a system of checks so that they know exactly where people are....although it may have been a one time screwup.
CORI does emphasize aftercare and Dr. Kole does go over the surgery very carefully.
