Khaled Shebani Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

My first impression of Dr. Shebani was rushed. But I really didn't have to spend much time with him. I was advised when I made the appointment to go to his youtube presentation and there was a ton of paperwork that needed to be filled out prior to my consultation so between that and my PCP referral he knew everything he needed to know about me and I knew everything about the procedure. So initial consultation did not have to be long.
I have had no surgical complications. The staff seems to be very knowledgeable and helpful. One day I had a couple of concerns and they fit me right in that morning. Dr. Shebani assured me and seemed genuinely concerned about me.
The only complaint I would have is he was supposed to call my mother on the day of my surgery and she did not get a call. And once I had a question and did not get a call back until the next day.

Dr. Shebani and his staff have been wonderful with my treatment so far. He is straight forward, and tells you as it is. I have called the staff many times with questions and concerns and they have always been helpful and compassionate. When my insurance would not cover a particular medication prescribed, Dr. Shebani personally got on the phone with the pharmacist and found a script we could all be happy with. He has called after hours to answer questions with no problems. I would highly recommend him.

I love Dr. Shebani! He is a wonderful surgeon, who cares about his patients and is pleased each time you go to his office with your progress. He does not expect that you have the same results as other patients and that each person is different from the next, I love that the most! I would do it again with him as my surgeon anyday and anytime! I also love his staff, he has recently moved his office, still in Ocala but has two great staff members that make you feel at home. I have seen Dr. Shebani come to the front of the office and answer the phone and talk to patients on the phone first hand, that is awesome to me that he is that involved in his practice.

My first impression of Dr Shebani was that he was caring and had a good "bedside" manner, that has not changed since surgery. I feel the same when meeting with his office staff face to face although they are very lack about returning calls. I do not feel enough information was given about post-op pain or what to expect.

Future patients should know and ask more questions about the g-tube he leaves in for 6 weeks after surgery. I did not ask enough questions concerning this.

Dr. Shebani was very open and clear about the risks of surgery and overall on a scale of 1-10 I would given him a 8.5.

I think surgical competence and bedside manner are both very important.

My first impression was good.It was the only impression and was so fast. His office staff is very proffesional.I like from him that he is very smart and gentleman.He has his staff that explain the after care procedure and the risk of the surgery was explain for the staff to me.I would rate him in 8.The only thing is that he need more time with the patients.( not too rush )
