Dr. Weinstein won me over the first time I met him. His office staff has been great. Theres nothing I dislike about him or his staff. This Dr. is amazing he has 30 + years in his career. They have been so wonderfull. I had to call over the weekend to ask a question. I figured they wouldn't call me back till later on. I didn't have the phone back on the hook good before they was callin me back. Dr weinstein explained to me all the risk. But yet did it in a way where he made me feel safe. Had great bedside manners. If I had to do it all over again he would be the one to do it.

My first impression was that this Dr. knows his stuff. Everytime he sees you in his office he does not automatically assume that you remember everything so he goes back over everything that was discussed on your last visit. My impression of him has not changed. He wants to make sure that everything goes well with me and this surgery. He has a wonderful and caring staff. There is nothing so far that I don't like about him. He reminds me that he wants me to follow the instuctions that are given to have the best results possible. He does have a structured aftercare program and he make sure you know the risks of this type of surgery. I would give him a 8. I think both surgical competence and bedside manner are very important.

I met with Dr. Weinstein several times this summer. He is very helpful and went over everything not, once but twice. Dr. Weinstein went over the whole process and what it will take from me (hard work and effort) and what he will do. He went over the negatives and the positives. Dr. Weinstein told me I was a canadite for both RNY and Lap-band. He assured me it was my choice. Dr. Weinstein is a no-nonsence doctor. I like that about him. He expects you to deliver what he is asking of you. Dr. Weinstein is patient and no question was dumb. I did not have to wait long to see him. He did not linger in the room after talking to me. The office staff is wonderful. They are very nice and they don't talk down to you. Ms. Carolyn who handles insurance was exceptionally wonderful. She walked me through it step by step. I would rate Dr. Weinstein and his staff as top notch.

I was very impressed with his knowledge. The office staff have been very helpful to me and very kind. I would rate him a 10. I have been happy with his pre-op and post-op knowledge of diet and the changes I will need to make to succeed.

2005-My first impression of Dr. Weinstein was great. Though he talked a little fast, if I had a question he would gladly go back over it with me. The office staff was great. They're all kind and wonderful. Dr. Weinstein made it very clear that I had to have a support group before and continue post surgery and find someone one on one to talk with who has been through the surgery. There is a class called BEGIN that I have to take before the surgery...lookin forward to it. All in all I think Dr. Weinstein is GREAT!!rn2008-He remembered me and my DH after almost 4 years!! He still had a great bedside manner and was ready to get me in to have surgery!

I was very impreesed the first time I meet Dr. Weinstein. at this moment 7/21/08, I am still empressed with my doctor. As for the office staff, they are wonderful. Everyone treats as a human. They are so polite an always smile. Before an after the surgery I was instructed on how I was to handle my care. This is a life long change an I had to be sure I wanted it. Yes, I would recommend Dr. Weinstein to anyone. I honestly did not have a bad experinc ewith anyone at the facility.

My surgeon is Dr. Weinstein here in Mobile. So far I like him ok. He reminds me of Dr. Oz. LOLrnrnI think and have heard he is an amazing surgeon, but I have to say, in my experience, he didn't have the best bedside manner. Just my humble opinion.....rnrnFirst dr appt after surgery went well. Dr. Weinstein was very diff than in the hospital and very supportive and gave me a lot of praise. It was a great visit! He was in a jovial mood and had been playing jokes on the nurses.

Dr. Weinstien seems really great. He is straight to the point, and has tremdeous knowlegde of WLS. I was impressed with him right off. His office moved things along very fast for my approval. I am waiting now to have my surgery on 12/28/07. I will update more after my surgery exeperience.rnrnWell its now 3months and some days after my surgery. I have had a lot of nauisa and vomiting, but Dr. Weinstien has been a true champ with his bedside manner. He and the nurses at his office really show a caring side to the patients. I could not have asked for a better surgeon than Dr. Weinstien!

I liked Dr. Weinstein from the first consultation I had in his office. I was very nervous, and had a lot of questions, and he was very warm and caring with all his answers. He seemed to honestly care about my personal situation. each time I went back to his office, he always seemed happy to see me, and so proud of my progress. His staff was, for the most part, friendly to me. His surgical competence and bedside manner were great to me, however my family did say that he didn't have much to say to them. He was concerned only with me. They just would have liked to have a little more information, but overall, I would still rate him a 9 out of 10, because he helped me regain my life!

Dr. Weinstein is all \"business\" but to me, it wasn't about the bedside manner - it was about the surgeon's skills. In my opinion, I selected one of the best, if not the the very best. rnrnMy husband had surgery approximately 2 years after I did and the surgical practice had changed quite a bit in their education of patients regarding the procedure itself, and follow up. All for the good, though.rnrnThe last bullet asks if surgical competence or bedside manner is better. If you can get both from one physician that's great. If not, you should go with surgical skill. Who cares if the bedside manner is bad? Hopefully, you won't be seeing this person but a few times anyway.
