My surgery went well and Dr Fares bedside manner is the best. He and his surgical team treated me with care before during and after my surgery. The nursing staff at St Francis hospital was the best and very considerate to my needs and my surgery was a great experience.

My first impression of him, he was a rock star. LOL Seriously, he was so nice, very considerate and answered every question I had. He also took the time to make sure I understood the answers to my questions.

His staff was great very friendly and knowledgeable.

Dr. Fares, and the Lifecare Surgical team rocks! They give great support, complete information, ability to ask questions anytime you need to, and a great group of nurses, dietitian/nutritionist and nurse practitioner to help me with whatever I needed. The office is very nice, and the wait times have always been reasonable. Dr. Fares lets you know this is a permanent life change, and it's not for the slight of heart. Everyone is supportive but also demands your action and commitment to yourself and your own health. The aftercare program is set up before your surgery, and they follow you closely with realistic expectations and understanding of what is going on with you at home. Dr. Fares is the most kind and understanding guy, but also expects you to pull your own weight. His team works with you to fix the issues that got you here to begin with. His surgical manner is both funny and secure. I felt totally calm and under complete care from both St. Francis Medical center, and Dr. Fares. I know everyone has their own needs, and no doctor is right for everyone, but I have been happy with the care I received from Lifecare Surgery. Dr. Fares came to see me three times in 2 days and was very involved with the care I received in the hospital. My only issue is stalls. When I had one 2 weeks out of surgery I was scared, and kind of worried I was screwing things up, then when I began throwing up a few times in one week, they were kind of relaxed about my concerns. They turned out to be right, but being told "not to worry" about something can sometimes not really be helpful. But we discussed this and everyone has been very informative since.

Meeting Dr. Louis Fares II was a pleasure, I'm super happy my PCP recommended him. He's a really funny & down to earth kinda doc, all of our (hubby was there too) questions were answered and you can tell he's about business and will not do the surgery if you're not an active advocate in you own health, he appears to truly care about your health for the long-term and isn't the kinda doc that makes you feel bad for all the unhealthy choices you've made that got you to where you are now. He really knows how to make one feel comfortable, speaking with him also made the process very clear and he was up front about everything.... he ended by saying I should have my surgery date in a month or too...YAY...I'm hoping more like a month, I think it would be a great motivator tool for me..lol!!

Until Next time...

Peace & Blessings

Dr Fares and staff have been great. I've mostly dealt with John Bock, as he runs the program there.. Dr Fares visited me day of surgery and both days that I was in the hospital.. John also visited me in the hospital. Office staff is friendly and helpful. They are very strict about the pre-program and the post program. If you do not go to support group they will not do your surgery.

I had my first consultation on 09/11/07. I haven't had the opportunity to meet Dr. Fares and that was a little disappointing. However, I did meet with his consultation assistant, Dr. John Bock. He's Dr. Fares' nutrientionist. I really felt comfortable talking with Dr. Bock; he was somewhat a jokester and I like to laugh, so that worked for me. With their setup, I'll be meeting Dr. Fares a little further down the road. Dr. Bock addressed both the Reny-Open and the Lap-Band procedures with me, in detail. I could tell that he was more favorable of the Reny-Open Laproscopic Surgery, however, there was no pressure in making me side with him in his preference. Ultimately, the final decision is my choice. I will be joining the support group which will allow me to meet others who have had the procedures and I will also begin with the scheduling of my consultations. So, I'm on my way... when I finally meet Dr. Fares, I'll be even closer to my dream.....

First impression was very good. They were thourough with the exam and wanted me to be well informed.rnrnMy initial appointment was made and they cancelled because the Dr. would not be in the office. The reschedule was 2+ months out making the wait to get into the surgeon 4 months. This almost made it too late to get coverage by my insurance company.rnrnDr. Fares is has very good bed manners, and seems to truly care about the long term successes of his patients. My wife is seeing him for her followup after a 4 year lapse from her surgeon. rnrnI would rate him a 10 out of 10. His scheduling staff was not as helpful. I was dissappointed with them.

My first impression, was of compentent professional, who cares for his patients. I hold Dr. Fares in very high esteem, and would reccomend him to anyone. He truly cares about your well being, both before and after. He tell's you by joining his practice, it's like being married to each other for life.rnrnFuture patients should now, his pracitce is not a chop shop. If your not healthy enough for the surgery, he won't do it. There is no cheating in the pretesting, he'll know, and surgery will be canceled.

My first impression was that Dr. Fares cared about his work and not just that he was recieving a paycheck for it. The office staff was very warm and greeted me with an open heart. The first Medical staff person I met was John Bock, he is the nutritionist on the Fares surgical team. John set a goal for me and promissed to make sure tht I reached it.My impression has not changed of any of the Fares surgical staff. I would reccomend Fares surgical to anyone in or out of my area that is looking for an awesome surigal staff that performs WLS. Aftercare is always talked about in my sessions. The team can not stress it enough the importance of taking care of the incisions and meds after the surgery. Surgical competence and bedside manner go side-by-side in my book, you need both as a medical professional. I have not had my surgery as of yet, but my date is set for Nov. 2, 2006. I will update my post as followed. I will also let all know of how it went and how I am treated before and after the procedure by the medical staff.

I was very comfortable with Dr. Fares. He and John have been used as the role model for a \"complete\" weight loss practice. They are by no means ready to hand this out to anyone who can get approved. They meet with you several times to ensure this is the right thing for you. They do extensive pre-op work which may seem like a hassle but they don't want any surprises. They are light hearted and funny and really make you feel at ease. I would highly recommend them.
