My first impression of Dr. Hausmann is that he really listened to me and took time with the appointment, unlike some doctors which simply watch the clock. I had initially thought that I wanted to have RNY, but I changed it to VSG. Dr. Hausmann was remarkable in dictating a letter to my insurance company regarding my migraines and medications that I am on in hopes that it would be approved due to the non-malabsorbtion with the VSG. It was approved on the first try! Much thanks. He was very good about explaining in detail the surgery and it's risks. I completed many tests before my surgery could be scheduled, which I appreciate his attention to making sure that my body could go through the surgery. I have my surgery scheduled in one week, 01/26/10. Please keep me in your prayers.

Dr. Hausmann was wonderful. I really trusted his experience and his ability. He has an excellent reputation, which is why I chose him. He made me have more tests than many surgeons require, but this goes along well with his reputation of being very meticulous and thorough. I would prefer a surgeon who is very careful, and this was him. There were concerns that I may not have been able to have surgery at all, and he did everything he could (including repeating a test that seemed to have unusual results) to help me out. When we first began, I was interested in the band, and he seemed to prefer the sleeve as an option, but also seemed that he would respect my wishes. Eventually, we decided together (after much research on my part) that the sleeve would be the best option. Dr. Hausmann was very clear about the risks of surgery, and didn't minimize them. He has excellent bedside manner, and I feel like he was 100% the best option for me.

Dr. Hausmann was great and reassuring and supportive and he still is. He seems even more interested even though I am 11 months post op. His staff is great and wonderful. I love the support group that Dr. Hausmann, his partners and their staff have for WLS patients. They don't just forget about, they provide the support. And boy are they patient. I would rate him a 15 on a 1 -10 scale. Both his surgical competence and bedside manner are great and so is his aftercare.

Josette is also an god-send. She has plenty in common with Dr. Hausmann's patients. She has also had bariatric surgery, so when she says \"I understand\", she really does. She is definitely a people person! I love Dr. Hausmann. He did my galbladder surgery and wouldn't think of anyone else to go to for my sleeve. The office staff are great.

He seems to really care about his patients, I had some problems with pain after surgery and he never made me feel like I was crazy or a burden to him. he would come everyday sometimes twice a day to see me and tell me \"we just want to get you better\" And he's also had to put up with my husbands corny jokes!rnEveryone in his office is great. They are really attentive and there is not one time Ive called and someone has not gotten right back to me.rnHis greatest, that's been through this whole thing is Dr. H's nurse Amy she help to take care of my whole approval process. She has a special place in my heart!

My first impression was wow very nice. Although I had already done all my preop with another surgeon and switched to him he went through everything again and this time my husband felt much better. The office staff is wonderful, very informative and very nice.

Dr. Hausmann is awesome. He's very knowledgeable, has a great beside manner, and isn't bad to look at either. He was very thorough during our first visit.rnHis office staff is wonderful. JoAnn sent me all the information I needed through the mail. I was able to fill out paperwork and save lots of time in the office.rnAmy is just great. She worked with scheduling my follow up appointment and surgery. rnDr. Hausmann has a great aftercare program which includes a support group which meets monthly. It's called NooMee and you can view the meetings online if you can't make it to Baton Rouge. rnAuban at Our Lady of the Lake was a doll. She coordinated all my testing and evals so they could be done in one day since I was traveling from Crowley. She was with me the whole day going from Psych, to xray and ekg, to Nut. Everyone at OLOL was top notch.rnI would recommend Dr. Hausmann and OLOL to anyone looking for a VSG surgeon.
