Great first impressions and just after post-op. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Emails were answered VERY promptly. So far, I have been more than pleased.

I just love Dr Gibbs and especially love Carrie, his nurse. I had my surgery on May 1, 2009 and had some problems so we went from laproscopic to open but he did a wonderful job and spoke with my husband after surgery with kindness and empathy. His colleagues that looked after me during the weekend were wonderful. Upon my visit to his office to remove staples he was still wonderful and so was Carrie. I am looking forward to my six month visit with them and him being proud of my weight loss. I started at 337.5 on the day of surgery and as of July 1, 2009 I am down to 292.2 lbs. And I am feeling great!

I had my 6 month checkup with Dr Gibbs and he said I was doing great. I am not tolerating meat very well but he said that some patients take a while and then some never do so I need to get my protein from other things like protein shakes, eggs, etc. A great visit with him and Carrie again.

I love Dr. Gibbs and his nurse Carrie. They made me feel so welcomed during the initial educational seminar. They stayed in contact with me about my insurance and let me know how things were progressing. Surgery day was the best. Unlike many people I didn't experience a great deal of pain. They came by my room later on to check and make sure everything was going well. I can't say enough about Gibbs. He is very caring, professional and caring. Carrie his nurse is the best also. I called or emailed her quite a bit after surgery because I was just nervous and worried about streching my pouch. She replied back within a day or two. I just love them and when you have a great surgeon and nurse everything goes great. I would recommend him to anyone who said they were looking for the best..You are looking for Dr. Mark Gibbs!!

Dr.Gibbs is the best surgeon i have ever met,i have to say i would recommend him to anyone.And his staff is wonderfull.

First impression-layed back and easy going. He made a very good point that this surgery is only a useable tool, you can use it or lose it.

I can't say to much, I'm approved at 100% and waiting on a date for sugery - praying for a date before the end of the year 2009!

As a registered nurse and a patient, I would trust no one to do this surgery other than Dr. Gibbs. My husband and I both had RNY done and have been nothing but pleased with the results and the ease of surgery.

When my husband and I first started to consider the surgery, I put in calls to many of my nursing peers that work med surg floors and asked them who they would use to have this operation; 100% of them recommended Dr. Gibbs due solely to patient outcomes they have seen on the floors where they work every single day.

Dr. Gibbs is down to earth and tells you how it is. He is NOT one of those feel good, warm and fuzzy, huggy touchy kinds of doctors. He is all business which is okay by me. He's still a nice, down to earth guy who happens to be a surgeon walking the halls in cowboy boots. What's not to like about that? :-)

Office staff is always professional and usually quick; His nurse Carrie is competent and quick to reply to questions and concerns, especially by email which is wonderful.

I really liked Dr. Gibbs down to earth persona. It made me feel comfortable and Carrie, his nurse was so sweet. I had a very good feeling about Dr. Gibbs and his staff from the beginning and I have not changed my mind. They were all very helpful and nice and easy to talk to. If you decide to do WLS, I highly suggest you go see Dr. Gibbs. He is fantastic. The aftercare support is great as well as the care I recieved during my stay. I did not have any problems after surgery or during surgery for that matter. I would give Dr. Gibbs and his staff a 10 out of 10! Dr. Gibbs is a great surgeon in and out of the operating room. If you want a good experience, I would highly recommend Dr. Gibbs.

Dr. Gibbs is the friend next door who really cares about his patience. He is comfortable to talk to and listens to your concerns and ideas. He takes the time to explain everthing to you. You could not ask for more, in the Bed Side Manner department.rnrnNow for the nursing staff. Carrie is a miracle worker. If anyone can do it she can. To answer your question, Carrie, if I had any doubts before I do not now. You can create miracles. Thanks again for taking care of me.

I feel that Dr. Gibbs is an informed surgeon who has a tremendous amount of experience. He seems to want the best for his patients and that comes across. rnrnFor my first appointment he was casual and comfortable. He made me feel at ease. He answered all my questions to my satisfaction. His staff has been friendly and helped me through the process. rnrn
