Very knowledgeable, professional, and an all around nice guy. His staff is great - they answer and and all questions and also do all the work to get you insurance provider to pay. He is three hours from where I live, but well worth the time and effort to travel to him. There is a structured aftercare program, although they let me do a lot of it by phone and email because of me living 3 hr from his office. Competence and bedside manner are both great.

Dr. Rashid is a very pleasant and knowledgeable man. He let me ask him all my questions and then we shared about the other people that I know that have had the procedure done with him. They have all been very successful. So I am even more excited to be working with him.

His office staff is extraordinary! I just can't say enough good things about all of them.

The aftercare program was explained very throughly by both Dr. Rashid and Pam Evans. The complications were explained very thoroughly.

I would have to say that both surgical competence and bedside manner are important. If you don't feel that they care you might worry about their competence. Knowing Dr. Rashid's experience with others that I know, I feel he is the total package.

When I met Dr.Rashid he made me feel comfortable about the surgery. I believe he truely cares about his patients and sees how the surgery can improve the quality of life for those who have it. He is very professional and caring. He understands the health risks of obesity. He explained everything about the surgery and answered any and all questions that I had. He makes sure that all testing is done pre-op to avoid complications or problems. He also makes sure that you understand the risks associated with the surgery and the commitment you must have to the post-op plan. Everyone in his office was wonderful and very helpful as well. I would, and have, reccomend him to others.

My first impression was he was soft spoken very nice and informative. My opinion hasn't changed one bit. His staff has been wonderful to me. they are supportive and helpful. The only thing I thought was even remotely neg. was that I only saw him once prior at my initial and then when I woke up from surgery.

The aftercare is written out clearly but nothing really thru his office.

I think that surgical comeptence and bedside manner are both important factors. but beside is more the hospital staff taking care of you round the clock.

Met Dr. Rashid on December 3, 2002. He and his staff are great. Very friendly and informative.

He is a down to earth man with great bedside manner. I highly recommend him.
As soon as they got the approval from Tricare, they called me to let me know.

Dr Rashid was very informative and his staff also. He explained the problems with Medicare coverage and my options. He seemed generally concerned for people who needed the surgery and could not get it because of medicare or medicaid coverage, that was very impressive to me. I am now contacting medicare supplimental insurance to see if that will cover additional costs not covered under medicare. If anyone has gone through this and know other ways I can get coverage under medicare, or supplimental insurance to medicare, could you please write me..Linda

I first went to Dr. Matroo at the Bariatric Wellness Clinic, she was soooooooooo nice and made me feel so comfortable! Her staff was great too. I have my first appointment with the surgeon on September 18th. Wish me luck!

Dr. Rashid was really nice and professional and explained things to me in great detail! Elizabeth at his office talked with me before Dr. came in and she was really sweet! She will be the one submitting info to my insurance and dealing with them.
