When I met Dr. Kumar, I thought he was very easy to talk to, and easy to understand. He really made me feel like my journey was very important to him. I feel so comfortable w/ my decision to have him as my surgeon. His office staff has been more than helpful. Sometimes I call just to ask questions, and they let me talk with them as long as I need to. So far, I am very pleased.
I HAD FIRST DECIDED TO GO WITH DR. ARMSTRONG OUT OF MILWAUKEE. AFTER MY APPT. WAS MADE THE OFFICE HAD CALLED AND OFFERED ME DR. ARMSTONG'S NEW COLLUEGE, DR. CHRISTOPHER SMITH, AFTER REVIEWING THE INFORMATION THEY SENT ME REGARDING HIM, I DECIEDED TO SEE HIM. MY SISTER CAME WITH ME TO MY FIRST APPT. WITH HIM. HE WAS VERY NICE, UPFRONT AND I FELT HONEST. I HAVE WORKED IN HEALTH CARE AND WORK FOR DOCTORS AND I THINK I HAVE A GOOD FEEL OF DOCTORS. I HAD MY VISIT AT THE END OF AUG. AND I AM STILL WAITING FOR THEM (HIS OFFICE) TO SUBMIT MY INFORMATION TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY. SO FAR I HAVE ABOUT $3,000 IN UNPAID BILLS THAT THE INSURANCE WILL NOT COVERED AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF I WILL BE APPROVED FOR SURGERY. THIS HAS BEEN VERY HARD TO DEAL WITH. I WAS TOLD LAST WEEK THAT ALL MY INFORMATION SCHOULD BE SENT TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY BY THE END OF THE WEEK, I SURE HOPE SO. THAT IS WHERE I AM AT, WAITING..............STILL. I ALITTLE FURTHER THAN 2 MONTHS AGO BUT NOT FAR ENOUGH.

Well a long journey. today is less than 3 weeks till surgery. I have changed doctors all togather. Dr. smiths/Dr. Armstrongs office have only gave me and alot of other patients the run around. Dr. Armstrong was on a leave for about 3 months, his office was not upfront and honest about the situation. I have been approve for surgery since Nov., Dr. smiths office just keep stringing me along. I finally called my insurance company and the refered me to another dr. the insurance company also said that several other patients have had the same experience. After 1 phone call, I had an appointment with Dr. Kumar the following day. My husband and I saw the Dr.and after about 45 minutes of reviewing my history and test, surgery was schedule for 3 weeks.
My first impression of Dr. Kumar was great! He was very friendly, and thorough about any questions me or my husband had. His office staff was very nice and helpful with everything I needed to know from insurance to the surgery!
I would highly recommend Dr.Kumar if looking into the surgery.

Again, Dr. Kumar is a skilled and very efficient doctor. He is caring and will take the time to listen to your fears, questions, etc. He describes what will be happening to you to the letter. I would recommend him to anyone. He has a great bedside manner and will talk to you any time day or night.
His staff, Lori and Michelle are the best. They make you feel like family as soon as you walk in the door.
I have not met Michelle in person, but I have met Lori. She is the sweetest person and she cares for each of the patients as they were her own family.
Rating? I would refer Dr. Kumar and his staff to anyone.
Surgical competence is foremost and bedside manner really matters. I know for myself, if I don't care for a doctors bedside manner, I will not see him again, and unfortunately, will not follow up with serious issues.
Dr. Kumar doesn't drag his feet on issues. He remembers your history, your name, everything each time he sees you. Too many doctors are over booked and can't keep track of their patients except on paper.
I cannot say enough good things about this doctor. I now have hope for the first time in a long time. His office staff also was great. He wants me to have a sonagram of my gall bladder and the hospital close to my home where I have to go would not let me make an appointment-a doctor has to call and order it, even though I have a script for the test-and the front office staff told me that to worry about it, she would handle it. This doctor is the one that I researched while still in Arizona and I let myself be swayed. I should have stayed with my first choice.
