Met with Dr. Huang and he and his office staff are very friendly and informative of the entire process. They scheduled me quickly as well. While on the quiet side, Dr. Huang was very professional and explained all my options and gave his recommendations to me, and I decided to go ahead with it. He performed Gastic Bypass on me on May 28th, and I was released with no problems 3 days later (went in on Friday, got out Sunday) So far feeling great and I see him for a follow up in a couple weeks. I would recommend him, he was great!

My first impression was like of any surgeon, they are busy people. But he had a great amount of knowledge, seemed to be educated about my health and what I was doing and because of that could answer my questions.

His office staff is great and they and Dr. Huang are alwasys on time, I never waste my time waiting for a visit.

He takes me right in, gets down to business and takes the time to answer my questions in a manner that I can understand.

I had done a lot of research and his reputation was paramount, many people recommended him, including other medical staff. That says a lot for his abilities in my mind.

I would rate him an excellent surgeon with a nice bedside manner.

My Surgeon was amazing!rnI couldn't find a lot on OH about him most people have Dr Todor or Dr Clough, but I had read and heard some good things about Dr Haung, he was friendly professional, took time to answer any questions I had, was down to earth about the risks, and was respectful to my partner on the day of my surgery, I would recomend him to anyone who was looking into this, My surgery was on October 31st at around 11 am and I was released at 10am on the 2nd, Touch wood all is fine, he did an amazing job!

I thought Peter Huang was great! Although (other than surgery) I have spent a grand total of about 15 minutes with him - 10 minutes when we first met and 5 minutes post-op the day after my surgery. So if you want someone touchy-feely who will listen to all your concerns, he might not be it, then again he might. Truth be told, I really haven't needed to spend more than 15 minutes with him so far! But he has an excellent surgical reputation, and I decided that was most important. No regrets. I trust that if I have an issue, he will respond appropriately.

Dr. Huang is a great surgeon, I had very little pain after my surgery and have no complications to date. My first impression of Dr. Huang was that he was very professional throughout the process. He answered all my questions about the surgery, he was in and out and very matter of a fact. I have heard from others that he is a perfectionist and they would not hesitate to have him operate on them which was very reassuring, even if it was after the fact. All risks of the surgery was addressed at my first visit with him. He was very no-nonsense about certain things as I was able to lift my 20 pounds son right after being released from the hospital which was great, I was also released to full duty (lobster fishing) without restrictions after only 15 days from my surgery when I thought it might be six weeks. I did not think he had much bed side manner at our first meeting, however my wife said he was great with her while I was in recovery explaining things and he visited me both mornings at the hospital to check on me as well. Overall I would rate him a perfect 10. He saved my life.

My first impression of Dr. Huang was very good, it remained very good throughout the process. The office staff at Northeast Surgery in Bangor are the best people I have ever dealt with as far as my healthcare goes. Dr.Huang didn't see me personally right before surgery, but he did afterwards, although I remember very little of that conversation. His PA saw me post op and discharged me as well. I would say his surgical competence outweighs the bedside manner which is a.ok. with me. Laproscropic procedure with robotics,,,,,,,yeah, I want someone who knows what the hell they are doing, and he is wonderful.
