My first impression of Dr. Credi is....WOW, he's short. lol Also I thought he was an awesome doctor, who cared about my well being and also a doctor who doesn't beat around the bush. He told me just how things were going to be. How I'd feel and what to expect. I liked that. rnrnOver the weeks of me having different test and weighing in every two weeks, he and his staff were very helpful and I felt as though I had my personal cheering team. They all were there to help ME! That was amazing. rnrnI had my surgery with Dr. Credi on April 8th, 2009. He has such a great bedside manner. He was very caring and concerned about me. He wanted to hear any problems, concerns, or questions, that I might have. He had a resident with him and he was great as well. I was a little nervous when I went into surgery but seeing Dr. Credi's face, just removed it. I fully trust him and I know that he is very proud of what he does and will and did take very good care of me. rnrnIf your in the Michiana area (Indiana/Michigan) please look him and his team up. You'll see just how much the are for YOU and how much they want you to SUCCEED!rnrnrn

when i first met dr credi he kind of scared me, not that he was mean or anything like that but he was very straightforward. he didnt try to sugarcoat anything or beat around the bush, which i find comforting. he was very upfront about the possible complications and risk the impact its going to have on my life and all the hard work i have ahead of me before he will give me a surgery date. the staff at memorial weight loss is nothing short of AMAZING! i love those ladies! they have always been so supportive and kind, a few of them are even bariatric patients themselves so they know what im going through. it was nice that i could come in and they know me by name and would even keep and eye on my son while i weighed in. overall i have nothing but praise for the team at memorial dr credi is a very competent dr, but if you are looking for a doctor to tell you its easy and completely safe, i would recomend finding someone else, but if you are like me you will appreciate the lack of surprises. at one point i had a surgery date set and was ready to go but he postponed it when my h. pylori test came back positive, he refused to operate on me without the best possible conditions for success. while i at the time i was EXTREMELY frustrated, i appreciate the fact that my safety are so important to him.

Professional, caring. He has such an endearing quality about him. Everyone in the staff treats you as a friend, not just a patient, or a number.rnrnYou will have to be committed to change, not just in words, but action, but once you've convinced the team that you're sincere, they will all band together to help achieve your goal.rnrnHis dieticians are very careful to make the path as clear as possible. Julie was a tremendous help in making my choices as clear as possible.

I was very impressed with Dr. Credi. Please read my blog. He truly cares about his patients. His criteria to get approved for surgery is stringent and he established this center. He addressed the risks of the surgery, aftercare, and had a caring bedside manner. There is a Dietician, and an Execise Physiologist all under one roof. So you have all of these professionals in your corner rallying you on. And his office staff are some of the sweetest women I've ever met. There is a structured program before and after to keep you on track up to several years out.

Dr. Credi is straight to the point, and that is that if you're serious about WLS, he's willing to do anything to help in that process.rnrnHe and the Memorial Weight Loss and Bariatric Surgery program are top notch in my book. They've done over 100 cases, and will soon be qualified as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence. They take a multidisciplinary approach, with dietary, exercise physiology and psychological counseling. Their program director is a nurse practicioner who has basically set this whole program up from scratch many years ago. Deb, Dr. Credi and the whole staff are great!

DR CREDI IS VERY NICE AND HAS DONE MANY RNY SURGERIES, BUT HAS NOT PERFORMED LAP BAND YET. SO NATURALLY, I AM A LITTLE CONCERNED TO BE AMONG THE FIRST. IF I MAKE THE FINAL CUT FOR THE 1ST THREE I WILL HAVE THE PRIVILEGE OF HAVING A VERY EXPERIENCED SURGEON WORKING W/DR. CREDI. THE WHOLE TEAM WORKS WELL TOGETHER AND I HAVE SEEN THEM INTERACT WITH LONG TIME PATIENTS AND THEY HAVE GOOD RELATIONSHIPS WITH THEM.
I LIKED EVERYONE I MET WITH AND GETTING THIS DONE ISN'T A PARTY. I CALLED IT JUMPING THRU THE HOOPS , BECAUSE THERE WAS SO MUCH TO DO TO EVEN GET TO THE DR. SO IT IS NOT TAKEN LIGHTLY AND A PERSON KNOWS VERY SOON IF THEY WANT TO STICK IT OUT AND HAVE ALL THE REQUIRED TESTING, MEET WITH THE ALL THE TEAM, FOLLOW A FOOD PLAN. BE EVALUATED BY A BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE DR.
AFTER CARE IS STRESSED VERY STRONGLY. I WOULD SAY EVERY ASPECT IS STRUCTURED (NO SHORTCUTS) UPFRONT RISKS ARE COVERED. DR CREDI DOES NOT LIKE THE TERM "LESS INVASIVE" BECAUSE ALL SURGERY IS INVASIVE. OVERALL HE IS FRIENDLY, AND COVERS ALL THE BASES.
BEDSIDE MANNER IS COMFORTING, BUT WHEN SOMEONE IS CUTTING HOLES IN ME, I PREFER SURGICAL COMPETENCE.
