I must say.... I have done my research, I have searched high and low for anyone around the Cleveland, Columbus, or Pittsburgh area looking for a bariatric surgeon. Someone I would trust with my life in their hands, someone who would understand that nothing couldhappen to me, I'm a mom of 3 and a wife...... I found Dr. Ramanathan out of The Center for Minimally Evasive Bariatric Center... A center of excellence..... And I could not be more happier that I did. There are 6 drs out of that office and I'm glad I chose mine. He was amazing, his staff was amazing, the hospital itself... Amazing!!!! So please do not hesitate to chose DR RAMANATHAN as your dr. Your in great hands!!

I had my surgery 1 month ago yesterday and he is a wonderful doctor. Very kind, patient and even has a good sense of humor. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a surgeon. As for the office staff they were all very kind and helpful. His nurse is very nice, I only met her 1 time because she was away on her honeymoon when I first went to see him.

He was very informative and kind thoughout everything. His staff was even more helpful with every little question I had, they never seemed bothered to answer. There was nothing I disliked about Dr. Ramanathan. He is very frank though. On a scale of 1-10 he is deffinately a 10!!!!

I fell that he is a wonderful Doctor. He explained the risk of the surgey very well to me.There was always some one to answer my questions or concerns.I would recomend him to any one who is thinking about weightloss surgey. His staff explained what i needed to do before surgey, and after surgery. They were there to answer my questions. His physican asst, Kelly is wonderfull, and also nurse Ellen. My experience overall was really good. And as far as the hospital staff nurses they could of been a little more helpfull as far as getting your pain meds to you a little quicker then they did. And they need to read your chart a little better, as in my case of my back problems and surgeries, which after this surgey my back pain was very bad due to havinging laid on the operating table for so long. Ellen the head nurse found out about my concerns and she had them adressed.

My mother had Dr Ramanthan for her surgeon in April 2007 , she liked him and his positive attitude. On the day of my mother's surgery, yhe surgery was running onger than expected due to a thickened stomach wall (we later found out) , Dr Ramanathan spoke directly to my dad and myself and was polite, answered questions and assured us that the surgery went good and she would be fine. I appreciated him taking the time to meet with us directly and not sending an \"assistant\" out to talk to us. I also, selected Dr Ramanathan for my upscoming surgery on Sept 9,2008 , both times that I have met with him thru this process, he has been patient with any questions I have had, smiling, kind, a good sense of humor and also seems to relate well to his patients and staf, who attention to detail. I will update this Pre-Op! Wish me Luck!

Dr. Ramanathan was chosen for me when I attended a workshop at Magee Hospital. If I had chosen my own doctor I would not have been able to chose a better one. He is very patient and answers all of my questions. The staff at Magee Hospital are by the most part a very courteous and helpful group. I had my surgery in Dec. 2005 and have kept up with all of my appointsments and taken all the vitamins, etc. My one problem is that I did not lose all of the weight that I had hoped to lose. I still need to lose about 30 more pounds, but even with the suggestions from the doctor and staff I am still at the same weight. Anyway, yes, I really do like Dr. Ramanathan. My only thought is that because the practice at Magee Hospital is so huge, I sometimes have to wait a long time in the waiting room for my appointment time. But it is all worth it. My diabetes is gone, my blood pressure is lower and I feel Great!!!
