RoseMarie Jones Bariatric Surgeon

I met Dr. Jones in August 2009 at a weekly seminar. She is a beautiful woman inside and out. She talked to all of us about weight being a disease and not a malfunction we all have. She not only talked to us like we were human beings but like she could be our friend. She explained the surgery in such detail that I understood it completely. My first impression of her was that she is passionate about making people's lives better, she's very educated and intelligent, she's truly concerned and passionate, and she's a down to earth person. Her staff is phenomenal, they are eager to answer questions and get things going for you ASAP. They are all wonderful people. Dr. Jones emphasizes aftercare over and over again and her office along with the bariatric dept. at the hospital offer several programs and groups a lot of which are free. Dr. Jones does not sugar coat risk at all. She makes sure we are all 100% aware of the risk of surgery and if we continue living the way we are. She uses a lot of stories, statistics, and facts to explain the risks associated with surgery. If I was to give Dr. Jones a rating out 1-10 she would be a 10 in my book for sure. I trust her with my life. The only negative thing I would have to say about the pre-surgery experience is all the waiting. The nutritional classes and seminar was a lot of waiting and not necessarily on the doctor or staff but for other patients.

My first impression of Dr. Rose Marie Jones was that she was a kind and caring woman. The risks of surgery were adequately cover by Dr. Jones and her staff several times prior to surgery (Per surgery class was also required) the office staff was great to me, everyone is very supportive. She seems to really care about her patients.rnThe Structured after care is fabulous. There are monthly support meeting that respond to where you are as a person from newbie up to 1 yr post surgery while general support meetings are twice per month (not limited to post surgical folks) They even have a cooking class for the “Old Timers” (> 1 yr) How could I forget the exercise class held monthly.rnYou have access to the Dietitian staff when you need help and always see the Dietitians on your appointment dates with your surgeonrnMy opinion the Carmel Surgical Specialists from St. Vincent’s Bariatric Center is one of the best in the nation. Dr. Jones is in my opinion the best bariatric surgeon around. She has the most wonderful bedside manner and she is very skilled at what she does. Anytime I hear of someone even considering having surgery I always recommend they have a consult with her.

Dr. Rosemarie Jones is wonderful! She is sooo sympathetic to her patients and their needs. I was super scared before surgery, but she came in to talk to me beforehand, and she calmed my nerves just by talking to me. She stresses attending support groups; exercise; and, staying on track with your nutrition. I would give her a 10+++. Her surgical competence and her bedside manner are both terrific! And, to be honest, I cannot think of anything that I did not or do not like about her.

I met Dr. Jones when I went with my father when he had his gastric bypass done and in followup appointments. She is very caring and makes sure your questions are answered. The office staff is wonderful and they take time to make sure your questions are answered and that you are comfortable with everything that is going on.

My first impression of her was wonderful she was very caring and concerned about how I was going into this and how I thought I would be when the surgery was over.rnI really like her I would not have chossen a diferent Dr. I am very pleased with the one I have chossen.rnThe aftercare is great she says if you have any issues to please call her.rnShe goes into all the risks of the surgery with you and your family and makes them feel very at ease.rnOut of a scale of 1-10 I would give her 11 she was the best.rnThis is how I feel and others may not feel the same but in my case the surgery went off great and my first after appointment with her is very good.

Rosemarie Jones is a wonderful doctor. She is helpful, friendly and gives you the best advice for sucess. I am happy to have had her as my surgeon and would recommend her to any one looking to have this surgery. She has a wonderful spirit and my me feel comfortable that this was going to be a sucess.

My first impression of Dr Jones was that she UNDERSTOOD. And she cared. What a wonderful person. Very knowledgeable and experienced. Lots of teaching. Is interested in patient after surgery to help patient to continue to have success. Totally trustworthy, very energetic.rnDr Jones office staff has been very helpful and friendly.
