Dr Bledsoe and his whole team are knowledgeable, very supportive, sees to the needs of each patient as dietitian, physiologist, psychologist, therapist, nursing care, etc.... Could not ask for better bedside manner from my surgeon and his staff... i feel very confident that he will do a great job with my RNY and I feel that I have been thoroughly educated on what to expect before, during, and after the procedure

When it comes to any bariatric surgeries, Dr Samuel Bledsoe is who you want on your side. He explained everything in detail when I was preparing for and received the gastric sleeve surgery April 8, 2014. Because of his patience, knowledge and confidence in his procedures, he allowed me to have a very successful transition into a new life. His fantastic bedside manner and on-going after care is out of this world. His staff is wonderful and just as supporting. You feel so great after a visit to his office just by the awesome treatment and kind words you receive from Dr Bledsoe and his staff. You will not regret having Dr Samuel Bledsoe as your surgeon!! He's the best of the best!!

I went to Dr. Bledsoe on the recommendation of a co-worker. I have been very happy with him, his staff and the results of my surgery. He is very friendly and seems to be very concerned about the well being of his patients. All surgical risks were well covered and his was more than happy to answer any questions.

His aftercare program is well structured and he encourages patients to followup with him on a regular basis. He is very enthusiastic about patient results and tends to act like a proud father when measuring progress.

The only drawback, if you can call it that, is that he is very busy and has to occasionally reschedule appointments. However, they have always given advance notice and followups are rescheduled in a timely manner.

He has great bedside manner and great surgical skill. He even offered to pray with me in pre-op. I suffered absolutely no complications from my surgery. I would recommend Dr. Bledsoe to anyone.

Dr. Bledsoe is the best and I will always say that. His demeanor is unlike any other doctor that I've ever had. He actually cares and actually listens when I speak to him. He is straight forward, honest, takes his time to explain things to you if you don't fully understand, and very serious. Not so serious that he can't see humor, cause he will definately laugh with you. His bedside manner....WOW, is all I can say. TOP NOTCH!!!

His medical team is 1st CLASS!!! I love his team in the office and in the hospital. He has chosen ONLY the best for his patients. Mrs. Pam and Mrs. Hailie are his nurses. They treat you like a person. With the utmost respect and dignity. You can't find that everywhere these days. Compassion....the entire team of his has compassion. NOT one nurse or assistant is stuck up or act as if they are too good or so much above you that they can't see you eye to eye.

I went to the seminar and that is where I met Dr. B for the first time. After reading his accomplishments and accrediations, I choose Dr. B over Dr. Parrish. Something in me chose Dr. B and I am so glad that I have.

He is a true Christian man. He is a family man. Rare to find that these days. He will pray with you before surgery if you request it. Before each procedure he has done on me, he has prayed with me and my family. He also prays for his medical team!!! I like that. And he is truly sincere in everything that he does. I've been watching him for the last 9 months as my doctor and have come to the conclusion that I would refer him to anyone who was looking into weight loss surgery.

We have our own special wing in the hospital!!! And we are treated like royalty! ONLY bariatric patients will be in the wing. That part I liked as I was around those who were facing the same struggle as me. You will end up meeting other patients because we have to walk so much. That was a nice perk too. As I met a few lovely women and we are each others support!!! The nursing staff in the wing, are like no other you will ever meet. They are hand picked and are very compassionate. I was amazed at the quality of care that is provided the staff on the Bariatric wing.

Yeah, we have struggled to find out why I have the pains that I do, and yes, I am a lil stubborn and yes, he has had to fuss me on a few occasions. He fusses cause he cares, if he didn't fuss with me then he wouldn't care. He truly does want the best for his patients. He will do everything in his power to help you to be successful in our new journey.

I am proud to be his patient and YES I would refer anyone to him that was truly ready to make the change in their life.

Dr. Bledsoe is truly wonderful. He and his staff cares about their patients. I was 280 pounds, and just in 5 months I have lost a 115 pounds and my goal is to loose only 40 more pounds. I have been recommending him to everyone that I talk to when they ask me what I have done. Grant it, I have had some minor set backs since the surgery. After I recovered from the gastric bypass, my daddy died in April, and then during all that my gallbladder started acting up, yet Dr. Bledsoe and his staff have been there for me through it all. The way the staff and Dr. Bledsoe treats us, is like we are family. Words can't describe how thankful I am to have them all in my life and to support me through this. Thank you Dr. Bledsoe for giving me my life back and for helping me. I can't thank you enough.

Dr. Bledsoe is a shining example of what you want a surgeon to be. He has a wonderful bedside manner, and true compassion for his patients.

He performed my gastric sleeve surgery, and I felt well prepared for it. He walked me through every step of the way, making sure to answer every question I had. He is very confident in what he is doing, and he does an excellent job. He is truly a wonderful surgeon.

I had no complications at all with my surgery. Everything went beautifully, and I am now 80 pounds lighter than before my surgery. As for follow-up care, he can't be beat.

If I were to have a check list of everything I want a surgeon to be, Dr. Samuel Bledsoe gets every checkmark on the list. I truly cannot say enough good about him. If you are considering surgery, you'll be in good hands with Dr. Bledsoe.

On 16 Apr 2012 I had the two year anniversary of my surgery. I had an appointment that day with Dr Bledsoe. I am still at 155 Lbs, walking 4 to 5 miles per day and feel great Since my surgery I have had eight friends and neighbors have the surgery by Dr Bledsoe to include my cousins wife and all have been a success. And all are happy with the results. This has been a life changing event for me and I love it. I highly recommend the surgery to those who are in need and I very highly recommend Dr Bledsoe and his staff for the job. You might want to check out his new line of vitamins that his company is producing just for bariatric patients. He can be reached at Cabrini hospital Alexandria Louisiana, Mid Louisiana Surgical Specialists. Phone(318-442-6767) Fax(318-449-3986. He is located at 3311 Prescott Rd, Suite 201 Alexandris Louisiana 71301. I will never be able to thank him and his staff enough for what they have done for me.

On 26 April 2010 I was the first male patient at Cabrini hospital and Dr. Bledsoe was my surgeon. I am totally convinced that he not only changed my quality of life but actually saved my life. I had diabetes, Heart disease, high blood pressure and was obese. My quality of life was horrible and I was ashamed to go out in public. I was taking many pills and medications for all of the mentioned medical problems. Today I am a 30 inch waist and the same weight I was as a young soldier in the United States Army in the 1960's. I am 60 years old but feel 25. I think one of the great parts of Dr. Bledsoe's program is that you actually become a part of a family and him, Pam (his nurse), and Doris are all members of that family. Even today 16 months later I still receive calls from all of these people and I still stop to see them when in the area. I try to attend as many seminars and support groups as possible to help any prospective patient who may not be sure about the surgery. I highly recommend Dr Blesoe and his staff. I do not believe that a person can receive better care any where in the country. Thank you Dr. Bledsoe for saving my life. I freely give my permission for Dr. Bledsoe's office to give out my name and phone number to answer any questions that a patient may have concerning the surgery and what makes it work.

January 24, 2012 I had Gastric Bypass surgery. One thing I know for certain is you will never find a better doctor than Dr.Bledsoe. He honestly cares for every patient he has. He is not only a highly skilled surgeon, but also a very religious person. Dr. Bledsoe is genuine, always has a positive attitude, and makes you feel at ease all the way through this process and afterward. He created the vitamins you need after weight loss surgery. He and his staff go above and beyond their call of duty. They each make you feel so special, and cared for. Dr. Bledsoe takes the time to listen to you, and answer every question you have. I was so impressed with Dr. Bledsoe and his staff that the only regret I have is that I did not have this surgery sooner. I am 2 months out and have lost about 40 lbs. I feel better than I have in over 30 years. All of my medical problems are gone, I have more energy, I am happier and healthier than ever!
If you are thinking about having Bariatric Weight Loss Surgery, and you live in Louisiana; do yourself a favor and choose Dr. Samuel Bledsoe. This will be the best decision you can make for yourself. I feel he has truly saved my life.

I absolutely love Dr. Bledsoe. The first time I met Dr. Bledsoe was at the seminar that he and Dr. Parrish give in order to inform people of bariatric surgery. The reason I chose him was because of his personality. He genuinely cares for his patients. You will experience his care from the moment you meet him and every follow up visit after your surgery. I have never felt that cared for by any doctor that I have seen. He has one of the best bed side manners that I have ever experienced. One thing that impressed me was that Dr. Bledsoe will pray with you before surgery. I'm not sure how you feel about that, but the fact that he relies on God for guidance during surgery and cares enough for you to rely on God to help is one of the reasons I love him.

I had the gastric sleeve done. I have currently lost 125 pounds and I am still losing. It is one of the best decisions that I have ever made. I'm not sure I would have made that decision had it not been for the ease and the information that Dr. Bledsoe provided me with. The most important thing I can leave you with is to trust Dr. Bledsoe if you decide to use him. He sincerely has your best interest at heart and will do what he can to ensure that you have a successful surgery and that you reach the goal that you set for yourself.

Dr. Bledsoe is truly amazing! My entire experience from the beginning has been great, he is so truly sincere. It is really important to really know my Dr. cares and I always felt that since we first met at the siminar. Dr. Bledsoe's nurse Pam is really sweet too, I loss my mom a few months after surgery and they were so understanding why I had to keep rescheduling my appointments and they worked around all the things I was dealing with. That meant alot to me. I haven't had any problems with my surgery, only right on schedule with losing my weight, I feel GREAT! I wouldn't change a thing about my decision to have Dr. Bledsoe perform my surgery :))))
