I met Dr. Sowemimo a few months ago and was instantly impressed with his "down to earth nature" and his ability to answer all questions without any hesitiation in easy to understand terminology. He explained all of my options and walked me thru the process involved with each. He never once looked at his watch! I instantly felt comfortable and at ease working with him.
I just had my surgery on 12/5/12 and am getting back to my old self. I had my first follow up with him this morning and have already lost 10 pounds! He was pleased with my progress and reassured me that I made the right decision, not only to have the surgery, but to have chosen him as my surgeon. The entire staff is awesome!!!

From the minute I met Dr. Seun, i felt that I was in the hands of a master. Calm and confident, I got the sense that nothing could possibly go wrong. THEN I have my first office visit. It was wonderful that the entire team (YES, TEAM...not just a "staff") was there to guide me through the whole process, answer every question, and tolerate every phone call. This, to me, gives credit to the entire organization, top down. Today I'm one week postop and I feel like a new man. My wife is waiting for me to be "half the man" I was before surgery. :)

The doctor and his staff work hard for you, answer all your questions. They dont rush you in and out they make you feel very relaxed. When you call with a question they get right back to you. When I first came here I weighed 454 one year later I now weighed 268. I am off all my meds. They set me up with a workout program. And all the test you have before the surgery payed off for me when a mass was found in my collen and Dr. Sowemimo took fast action and removed it and I am cancer free. If you're thinking of having laparoscopic or bariatric surgery this is the Doctor you want to see, no question they're the best.

My journey began in July when I walked into Central Jersey Bariatric's. Dr. Seun was informative and professional.He went over each of the surgeries available and we chose one suited for me. He took the time to answer all my questions. He did it in a way where he didn't try to hurry up the answer. He always made sure everything was answered before leaving the room.
The staff was wonderful especially when they dealt with my insurance company on my behalf. I just think Dr. Seun and his entire staff is great. They will go the extra mile for you.
Julie, the dietician, helped me plan my diet, vitamins, and proteins. She was very helpful. Between Dr. Seun and Julie they really drove it home on the aftercare. When you do your homework you will see why it's that important.

Dr. Sowemimo was very informative and thorough through the whole process. He gave me all the information that I need to make the decision that was right for me. I recently had the gastric sleeve done with Dr Seun on 11/19/12. I am extremely happy with the results so far. I decided to attend a seminar first before having an initial consultation with the doctor. Once I met him and listened to him speak about the different surgery options I was hooked, He is very confident, and easy to talk to. He answered all my questions big and small and made me feel at ease.

I just went for my 18 month appointment and every time I walk in this office they make me feel so important. I cant explain in words how Dr Sowemino and his office have changed my life and my family's life. Things seem so much brighter and in control. I wish all the doctors I have seen throughout my journey had the bedside manner, concern, and experience Dr. Seun has. Thank you so much for everything.

I have known Dr. Seun for the past year and a half. I had a lap band proceedure at NYU on March 1, 2010. As a result of that surgery I encountered several problems. Dr. Seun was always there to make the necessary adjustments. He even met me on a Sunday evening after I was unable to hold anything down as a result of flying.

When he realized that the lap band was causing many issues he suggested that I have it removed and have a bariatric procedure called the sleeve. He did this procedure on November 12, 2012. As he was doing the procedure he also corrected issues that were caused by the band. His bedside manner and positive, reassuring attitude has made my experience one that alleviated any fears that I had.

I have recommended him to several people who will be using his services in the future. I will continue to recommend him to anyone who thinks that they may be interested in bariatric treatment.

Dr. Seun is a caring and understanding doctor. During my time with Dr. Seun he has been very supportive with my weight loss journey and my goals. From my initial visit he has been very open and straight forward about my goals. Whether they are ideal/obtainable and if they are not. He is a personable man with a great sense of humor and I actually enjoy going to the office for visit, even if it is for a weigh-in! Dr. Seun's office staff are very well organized and always address any questions and concerns that I have. They accomodate my schedule very well and I always get the appointments that I need in a timely fashion.
Before my surgery Dr. Seun presented me with all the information I needed. What tests I needed and when, how I would feel after surgery, time in the hospital, recovery time and I he made me feel comfortable that he would be available if I needed him, which he was.
I would recommend Dr. Seun Sowemimo to anyone who is considering weight loss surgery. It is not a surgery that you just up and decide to have. It is a serious commitment and Dr. Sowmemimo and his staff are there to support you and help you take it one step at a time.
