Dr. Sean was highly recommended to me by my primary care physician. I first met with him in July 2011 and began working on my weight loss journey right away. With the help of his amazing office staff I was off to a great start. I met with Julie (the nutritionist in the office) and began to watch my diet and lose weight to prepare for my surgery. Dr. Seun has an amazing personality and bedside manner and explained all the different procedures and risks thoroughly. With him, I decided the gastric bypass was the best choice for me and I had the surgery on 11/14/11. As of today, exactly one year to date I have lost a total of 122 lbs. I went from a size 24 to a 10!! The surgery went extremely well and the recovery period was a lot better than I had ever expected. This is a very big life style change that I never thought I could make but Dr. Seun and his very supportive staff makes all the difference. They really care. Prior to the surgery there were classes to attend that were very informative. I learned a lot and felt fully prepared for the surgery. After surgery they offer monthly support groups for all to attend. I am currently 48 years old and have never been happier. I feel great, I have much more energy and I feel like I am living in a body I have only ever dreamt of. I can actually walk 3 miles in an hour now. Thank you Dr. Sowimemo!

Dr. Sowemimo is wonderful! From my first visit with him i felt very comfortable as his patient and knew i was in good hands. I felt confident at that time that i had picked the best surgeon to perform my gastric sleeve procedure. His bedside manner was very friendly, personal and caring and that put me at ease both before and after my surgery. I would highly recommend him to anyone thinking about undergoing bariatric surgery. Dr. Seun performed my surgery in October 2010. He sent me to classes before the surgery to learn how to eat post surgery. They were very heplful. I think I was one of his most diffucult patients. Lets face it, I had surgery and things can happen. After all I went through I must say there are always risks. If I had to I would do it all over again. Dr. Seun was so attentive to me and all my needs. He was there everyday at least once a day. I had great nurses and have had great success since my surgery. Two years after my surgery and I am very satisfied with the outcome.

I choose Dr Seun located at Centrastate Medical Center in Freehold on a recommendation from a friend and feeling comfortable with the hospital he practices at. Once I met him and his office staff, I immediately felt at ease with their process and their organization through this journey! Dr Seun was always pleasant and upbeat which is something I needed to push me along and commit to this surgery. From my first appointment with Dr Seun, all my appointments with the nutritionist and surgery were scheduled right there so the process was so easy to follow. On the day of the surgery, I went in and everything just flowed so smoothly from the operating room to recovery and I could not have been happier. I am 2 weeks postop and feeling really well and ready to work hard at this whole process. I can not thank Dr Seun, Julie and his staff enough for being so gracious to me. I have already seen great progress and there is not enough "thank-yous" to Dr Seun for giving me my life back! I would highly recommend his practice for anyone considering this life change and it is the best decision I ever made! 3 Month update-doing so great and have lost over 50% of my weight loss goal!!! I am very satisfied with Dr. Sowemimo. At my heaviest I was 331 lbs.10 months after surgery I am 242 lbs and I feel great! AT the initial consultation he offered me choices as to what He thought might be best for my needs and he accepted my input. The entire procedure was layed out and easy for me to follow. After the surgery My follow up appointments and group discussions have all helped me to "stay on track" and continue my weight loss. I visited Dr. Seun 2 times over the course of a year before deciding to have gastric sleeve weight loss surgery. At each meeting he was so kind and informative. He really took the time to answer all of my questions and I had a lot of questions! Once I decided to proceed, I knew I was in the "best hands" with Dr. Seun and I mean that literally. Dr. Seun is so down to earth yet he exudes a confidence that makes you feel everything will be okay.

I am one week post-op, feeling pretty good and most importantly, no commplications. I would highly recommend Dr. Seun if you are considering weight loss surgery. He is awesome. And, I'll never forget how he pinched my cheek (as to say it's going to be okay) before I was wheeled into the operating room. It may have been a simple gesture, one I doubt many big surgeons like Dr. Seun would do but it made me feel so at ease.

My name is Mrs. Kim Washington and I had the Sleve done on June 20, 2012 by Dr. Seun Sowemimo. I am prove to announce that I have lost 47 lbs and is feeling terrific. The recovery from the surgery went very well with hardly no pain thanks to Dr. Sowemimo precribing wonderful drugs. I now feel more energetic to walk for longer distances, I am satisfied with eating healthy foods, and I am now only taking one blood pressure bill instead of two.

I had the best experience going thru Lap Band surgery. Dr Seun was always available for answers to my questions. bypass surgery is 3 months out and I feel amazingly differant and have a whole new lease on life. Renewed energy and a feeling of ability to reach my goals, its a great feeling to see the scale move in the opposite direction... thank you Dr. Sowemimo, I have now lost 90 pounds and counting.
