Altoona Hospital Hospital
i had a great stay on the regular floor but in icu there was one nurse that was sooo mean and rude i wish i wasnt so out of it couse i would report her she left me lay there in pain becouse she was eating lunch my regular nurse was tending to someone else and asked her to help me and i asked her to hang on one sec becouse she was moving me to fast and she said she was going to finish her damn lunch and she didnt need my crap other then her my stay ws great and the rest of the staff was great !!
This is a very nice hospital. The only problem I had during my stay was the construction that was going on. This construction was on the same floor I was on and they had jackhammers and all kinds of noise going on all during the day. I had an extremely hard time of resting the day after surgery. I also experienced terrible headaches (wonder why???) When the construction is done, I'm sure all will be well. As I stated earlier, I have utilized this hospital before and it is a great place to be if you need hospitalization.
Dr Schmidt was my surgeon. Him and his staff are always nice to me and I have no complaints thus far.
My stay at the Altoona Hosp. was good except for the nurses on Tower 14 are not very heart felt. They are mostly nice but there was a couple that had no compassion and you had to kiss their butts for help.
I cannot say anything bad about the surgical team,ICU,or any other part...just Tower 14 nurses (3rd trick)!!! Grrrrrrrrrr!!!
