Every employee that I came in contact with was courteous, efficient and always made sure I had what I needed. I had the best nursing care I have ever had in any facility throughout the nation. My comfort, safety and medical needs were attended to promptly and efficiently. From the ACU (pre-op) to the 5 North staff (where room 556 is) were the best.

My only complaint, was the parking deck. There were no elevators in the deck and there was no indication that there were no elevators. Having just had knee surgery on one knee and needing surgery on the other, this was a problem for me. But even this does not over shadow the overall experience which was excellent. Even the daunting task of walking after surgery was a pleasure because of the views of the Marin hills and the Golden Gate Bridge, Washington Square park and some of the other beautiful buildings and landmarks in the area.

I lucked out...got a private room overlooking the city. Had plenty of privacy, attentive nurses (for the most part) but got very little sleep!

There were 5 of us there that day having surgery and we each had a private room with views of San Francisco. The nursing staff were incredible, caring, and utmost knowledgeable about all the procedures. 4 out of 4 stars.

This hospital was great. They allowed my husband to stay with me the whole time and even when I was in the ICU for several days they did the best they could to make sure he could stay. They even made sure he ate every day!

It seemed a lot of my "discharge training" happened during the late evening and (most of all!) early morning hours. I felt well-prepared to handle my needs when discharged and that the staff at the hospital did a remarkable job providing care through my stay with them.

From the moment that I arrived at CPMC I felt welcomed. My husband and I went into to admitting room and I changed into my hospital gown. I was covered with warm fuzzy socks and a nice warm blanket. I think if I were allowed to have any food or drink that day, they would have brought me a cup of hot cocoa...lol,
just kidding. They really made me feel comfortable and at ease. My husband was allowed to stay in my room, they even wheeled him in a cot without our request. My husband enjoyed their reclining chairs that they had in the room as well.

I was pleased and would go back.

The hospital was great. Each patient has a team assigned. There is an RN, a CNA, and other people. I didn't have a private room, but had a great roommate. It space was added in as an afterthought. It was a small space in the corner. Someone always answered the call button and I didn't have any of the hospital horror story events happen.

This was an amazing stay. I had a private room with a view of the city. It was like a hotel room with a hospital bed. I had a huge, clean, private bathroom, a very quiet hall, responsive nurses and orderlies, great staff.

I almost didn't want to leave!!! It was GREAT!

My only complaint is that the parking garage is hella far away from the main hospital...down a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE hill. Good exercise though. :)
