Presbyterian Hospital Hospital
This hospital was amazing. From the time I checked in til I was discharged, I was 100% satisified. Everyone including transport, food service delivery & security was more then helpful, courtesy & extremely polite. The nursing staff , lab techs , cna & anethesia team was equally informative, polite and just made you feel like you were the only patient to them , so attentive!
Everyone was polite and took very good care of me. The nurses who handled what makes me the most nervous- needles, like drawing blood right before surgery, giving the heparin shots, and starting my IV- were AMAZING. The anasthesiologist's assitant (i forget his real title) who started my IV was exceptional- very kind and FAST. The nurses who took care of me postop were also great, the daytime one being a RNY post-op herself. One thing that annoyed me was how much they soaked my family for parking in their lot when they came to visit me. Most hospitals only charge a few bucks, and that's for valet service. Another problem was coordination with the pulminary department- I was told they'd come up to give me albuterol every 4 hours, and they'd sometimes come/usually didn't/ took forever when I requested them since they hadn't been showing up. Luckily my asthma isn't severe, but I worry about someone who's is.
