Shore Memorial Hospital Hospital
I had a a generally good experience, but I found the special bariatric bed was not to my liking, as I am tall, and kept sliding down, and my feet were hanging over the end. Once I got into a regular bed, I was fine. The nurses were so very nice, although very busy, and at times it was difficult to get ice chips. However, they had no problem, and in fact encouraged family members & friends to get them for you. The only bad experience was with the daytime nurse on the day I left. She yanked out my IV tube from my hand, and it gushed blood. I don't care to see my own blood, so I was feeling a little woosy, and then she asks me to hold a cloth on it, and she says "You still have the catheter in", and proceeded to just yank it out of me. I almost fell over. But, other than that, All of the other nurses & orderlies, were incredibly helpful, and a pure delight.
