After originally starting in Dr. Drinkwater's program, and being ready for a date, I find that he's resigning and I have to choose a different doctor if I want to continue. Things were a little hectic for me both at work and at home, so I decided to not have the surgery, then anyway.rnrnTuesday, Jan. 23 I went to an Information Session with the staff of Lowell General, with Dr. Jiser. I had been to one shortly after Dr. Drinkwater resigned, but just couldn't focus on things at that time. My dear friend had her surgery March 2006 with Dr. Jiser and she looks and feels great. After some serious discussions with my husband, here I am again, and ready to go. Everything at home and at work are different and much better.rnrnMy first meeting with the nurse practitioner is Feb 07 at 8 am. I can't wait.

I'm being treated through the Emerson Hospital program, and so far, it's great. The SWL program staff are wonderful.

My first meeting was a bit confusing for the doctor as I had not met him yet I had finished all the testing and all the meetings required for his program. Once I explained my difficulty getting an appointment earlier with him due to his schedule. Once he understood he was very friendly and agreed that I am ready for surgery. So far so good

My first impression of Dr. Jiser was that he was down to earth. He was very imformative and showed that he cared for your well being before and after surgery. The Weight Clinic staff are gret they are very supportive and like a second family you can always count on them.

He is a GREAT MAN!!
He is a man who cares how people feel and how their health matters. I never felt like I was unsure about anything in his office he speaks slow and clear so you can understand him.
I can not say in words how good I feel. I did not know Life could be so Nice.

My first impression of Dr. Jiser was that he was caring and wants to help the morbid obese.
I still believe that Dr. Jiser is not only helping obese people to live out their maximum potential and have a healthier productive lifestyle, But also, encourages us to stick to the strict regimen before he actually does surgery/ He is a well respective surgeon in the New England Area.He is an internal medicine md. Not to mention he is also a gastroentrologist which
puts him in high rank of compentence.

He emphasizes aftercare to the point of no return. What I mean about that is He is no Joke. That is why there is a program you have to go through before hand. He stresses the importance of aftercare and keeping appts. etc.

His rating is good as far as I'm concerened.
I trust him as a professional.

His surgical competence is outstanding!!!

MY surgeon Dr Jiser at first scared me - I thnk he was so serious that i didn't know what to say to him . My impression of him hasn't changed - I like him as he is - He is a very good surgeon and good with his patients - His staff is incredible - very close with the patients- and the support you recieve is incredible to say the least..Future patients should know that this Dr and the persons he works with are the best that you could ask for .. The structure of the after care program is awesome -- they work hard to ensure you are doing eveything you can be ,, and if there are problems they are right on it to take care of you .. They completely inform you af all risks and address them accordingly and fast -- there is nothing worse than going in blind and this office ensures you don't, there is any surprises none - it was a wesome.. How would I rate him over all?? on a scale of 1-10 i would rate him a 100 --- I love dr Jiser and everything he has done for me - He has totally changed my life in a way no one else could... And his bedside manor - is awesome I never felt I could have been in better hands ..

Dr. Jiser is extremely competent and confident. I've heard nothing but good things said about his work and I have only good things to say as well. The entire bariatric team is amazing, well-run and very nice. Christine LaBrecque does an incredible job of coordinating everything and keeping on top of things. She always has a smile on her face. The team secretary, Carol, is always so nice and helpful. Nutritionist, Janet Carter knows her "stuff" :) and is also great to deal with, same for Lisa in the nursing area. Everyone is very forthcoming about the risks involved and about how life-changing this surgery will be. There is a very structured pre-op plan for having many tests done before you can be approved for the surgery. This was important to me, as I wanted to know my true health baseline myself. It's good to know they are this strict about the pre-testing so that when you are done you know for sure if you are really a good candidate for this surgery. They have a scheduled after-care follow-up program and great support groups for anyone interested. I would highly recommend this doctor and this program to anyone interested.
