WOW, Your story sounds a lot like mine, except that I lost my mom to cancer right after I had my surgery, but I feel like I have my life back and am glad that I hopefully won't have to go down the diabetes road and die of kidney failure like my mom, dad and grandmother all at young ages. I cried in the dr's office when they told me I am no longer borderline diabetic as long as I keep the weight off. Thanks for your reply, my weight went from 257 to 133. Nobody recognizes me, literally. So strange. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK and CONGRATULATIONS!

I think that is GREAT! I know how you feel about not changing a thing. Thats a lot of weight to lose in a year. Don't try to keep up with the Jones'es. Everyone loses at their own pace. WAY TO GO! keep up the good work.

I am so happy I decided to make this step in my life. Today is one year since I did this procedure and I feel great. I look great too! I was 360lbs and today I am 229...224 and I feel great!!!!!

Topic: My 1 year anniversary
Well, I may not have lost as much as everyone else that had there 1 yr. anniv. today but I am down 104 pounds. I am very proud of where I am now, and would not change anything. It does get discouraging reading how people that had surgery on the same day lost more than you, but I am 104 pounds lighter than I was 1 year ago. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ALL! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

I am gonna try girl.... I need to update it I've just been so busy with everything... I am back in school again and this prof I have (for both of my classes.... intensive 8 week ones) is a really good teacher... translation.... I have to do a LOT of work on my own. He is NOT one of those profs that gives you the answer... he makes us find it on our won. I am falling behind very quickly since I have so much already going on! EEK!

You should have seen me strutting my sexy self all over Savannah! HA! I even got hit on a few times by both men and womens!!!! LOL! I LOVE IT!!!!
The best part of my trip to Savannah was being able to go into all those little boutiques and trying on clothes! Too bad I couldn't afford them! They didn't know that though... I am pulling off looks now that look expensive but really aren't..... YEAH! I rock... toot-toot!

Yeah I only found out yesterday that I am back to being 5'5" again!!! Whoot-whoot! I used to be 5'4" and doc says it is because all the weight was throwing my spine out of whack and I was slouching terribly so now I have an extra inch to play with! LOL!
