I think my pet peeve is when people who don't know you had surgery compliment me and then ask how I lost the weight. I know this is a very normal question and I may have asked it myself in the past. My problem is the people you don't know well and don't care to share the surgery with them, what do you say? I just can't seem to NOT tell them as it feels like I am not being truthful. I guess I worry too that they will talk to someone who knows I had the surgery and they will feel like I lied to them in a way. Any suggestions for a reply?
