My appt today...
My appt today went very well. My bloodwork was "exceptional" and "impressive" (doc's words!)...absolutely everything was perfect and in range. I got copies of my labs and compared prior to surgery (Oct 05) to April 27th this year and even the things that should have gone down slightly, increased! Protein levels went up, B12 increased, glucose went way down (82) as well as my cholesterol (151). Excellent numbers all around and I'm very pleased!
My BP was 110/70. According to their scale, I have lost 72lbs (my scale at home says 70lbs, comparatively). I have lost 10 inches off of my waist so far. I need to get some size 14s soon because my 16s are getting baggy.
I had an ultrasound on Monday and they found just a small amount of fluid in the seroma. My doctor says I just have inflammation where the seroma is or was, which accounts for the pain and he wants me to take it easy with working out (no pulling or pushing of the abs which means no Arc Trainer, no Elliptical), take Celebrex (prescription anti-inflammatory), use heat compresses and wear my binder when I work out. Since I have already been on a round of strong antibiotics, I have no fever and my bloodwork shows no infection, I don't need to take more.
Anyway, I was encouraged by my appt...and my bloodwork and the fact that this seroma is on it's way OUT of here!
