I want to thank each of you for your prayers and loving concern. You do not know how much it means to me.
Frostie is in ICU. She had angioplasty this morning, and the put in one stint. That artery was 99% blocked. Her other arteries are blocked as well, but not as bad and her heart is to weak to do the other stints right now. The front part of her heart is beating at 25%. Not good. No one is saying anything right now about what to expect. But I do know if she doesn't start taking care of herself, she won't live to see her children raised, and right now I don't know if she cares. She had them put a Do Not Resusitate code on her, and then would not let them call anyone to let them know that she was in the hospital. The only way we found out was the hospital needed some papers signed and she had been given narcotics and couldn't sign them. So they called my youngest daughter that lives in GI.(that is where Frostie lives) Stacie was able to talk Frostie out of the DNR.
This is what can happen when people are obese. Frostie is obese and has a multitude of other health issues. When she had the stroke, that started the ball rolling on WLS for Stacie. She had been checking into it for awhile before that but that was the final straw for her. Frosties stroke of a contributing factor for my decision to have WLS.
This morning at the hospital my oldest daughter said that she has decided to have WLS as well. Hopefully if Frostie comes through this, she will also be able to have it.
If anyone thinks that what we have decided to do in haveing WLS is wrong, I wish they could walk a mile in Frosties shoes, I think they would change their minds.
